Personally, I disagree with people saying the song choice wasn’t impactful. The moment I heard the song, I knew why they’d pick Seo Jiwon’s With My Tears. Read and understand the lyrics, as well as the backstory of the og song, and you’ll get why they did. I’m surprised watchers haven’t realized it’s the same song from Hospital Playlist or other dramas. ngl, I started bawling when I heard it in this drama.

Before watching this drama, please understand the Korean title first because it's honestly genius and perfectly explains the plot better than the English one. I think the problem as well is english/netflix' marketing hyper focusing on the romance, in korea alongside romcom/melo, it's also considered under mystery, crime, thriller. Personally, the amount of romance and thriller is 70/30, it's just that the past 2-4 episodes are now in crescendo to wrap up the crime plot. Plus, even from the first episode, it's hinted that the crime is a huge part of the story too considering the very first scene was the kid running and being shot off the building, just my two cents to the people on twitter being annoyed at the show lately. It was kinda right there in terms of warning y'all that this isn't just romcom.

if you've watched the 14th episode, then you know that donghui's motive was to destroy anyone trying to hurt chiyeol and chiyeol's career/reputation. everything he did was so chiyeol would continue to be successful. haengseon, at first, was someone who he thought could possibly ruin chiyeol, she could've posted online about chiyeol being a phone thief, etc . and also they were visibly fighting about the phone during the attack. chiyeol wasn't the one he intended to hurt, it was haengseon.

that's also the parallels between the people he murdered, remember the sasaeng student? killed because she kept insisting she and chiyeol were dating online and causing a scandal. the student who replaced haeyi and had a bad attitude? killed because he posted how chiyeol's all star course was dumb. the other math teacher in the pride? killed because he was chiyeolsucks and posted so much hate about chiyeol. the metal ball in the banchan store was him was trying to attack haengseon before another scandal started. but when he saw that she wasn't a threat, he was alright with her for a few episodes.

lee dohyun is his stage name! his birthname is lim donghyun, so his dad's surname is lim. it's actually pretty common, esp for those who want to separate themselves from existing celebrities with the same name or to keep their real name lowkey. you'll find the same thing for really popular actors like park seojoon, kim woobin, hyun bin, gong yoo, etc.

As someone who's read the webtoon, I like the way they arranged the story with the limited time they had. With that said however, the full story itself could've benefitted from a longer webdrama. I watched for that + Youngjae (who did well, completely opposite from how he is irl.) but I enjoyed their friend group a lot too! It's nice to watch as a filler drama in between longer ongoing ones, or like me who just finished a drama with a sad ending.

This^^ I started watching it when it first came out but I stopped because the 1st episode was meh, but I picked it up again today and finished it in one go. When the male lead's story picked up + the main friend group became more involved, I started to enjoy it.

I think so too, it's not a coincidence that they added that part in the classroom where Shiah said that her mom's first love is her mom's dad. I think she's liking Wooyoung as the dad she didn't have. It's not impossible that she has a tiny crush on her dad, but I feel like she'll get over it quickly, especially since there are 2 other people crushing on her.

Same, I also cried even w/o the subs, it just goes to show how amazing actors they are if they were able to portray the message so well.
