anybody knows that song in the first ep vlad was dancing to? it sounded nice!
also, good potential! 3 episodes is too little to get me hooked but it seems like something i may fall in love with even though it feels like it's dragging at times
yeah, he was unnecessarily aggressive i'm not arguing that. he felt cornered and tried to push judah away and that explains that but doesn't excuse him. though going back to him leaving judah, i partially think that he only left him for long enough for judah to basically pass out was so we could get the romantic hurt/comfort scenes and judah's surprise when he wakes up lmao. but yeah, judah's worst sin here is thoughtlessness while rocky seemed more intentional in his actions. haha, yeah, he's hot lol :D
yeah, leaving him sick and alone *was* a shitty move :/ i think the fight isn't glossed over but rather... suspended? they didn't exactly fix their issues and just put a bandage over it and called it a day so there's a chance they'll go back to it? and i don't feel like judah suddenly become more mature. 1) because he showed change from episode to episode and 2) because his decisions weren't 100% mature. sure, he stepped back from rocky but that was giving him space as well as retreating into his shell and protecting himself. and he appologised to glenn for disrespecting his feelings because now he has the perspective of feeling broken-hearted but he also seemed to get together with him despite not having feelings for him and that's much less mature (now we can speculate as to why he did that. i doubt that it was to get back at rocky becasue we never saw him do anything openly malicious but maybe he thought glenn would be a barier between them to transition back to merely passing each other. or he thought he might sacrifice himself so at least one person gets what he wants from this. or he just didn't want to be alone in this pandemic. we'll see next ep probably) i won't judge best or worst but i actually liked seeing complexities? and i'm curious about glen :D
i wouldn't say one is worse than the other? the pic and violation of rocky's privacy made him panic about being accidentally outed (and possibly reduced to just good abs?) but judah just didn't think that far and posted it because he was excited. rocky treating judah badly after a drunk hook up was panicking and trying to 'not think about it' but he hurt judah by that. both of them acted on their emotions without considering the other's pov -- judah because of carelessness and rocky to protect himself and so he wouldn't think about something he wasn't ready for. it just shows that they have different things to deal with?
(sorry about the long reply... i'm overanalysing things when i'm excited :D )
totally agree. it's a violation of privacy. though i would file that under 'did not think' kind of mistake than trying to out him? he lacks the perspective and forethought but he shows he's ready to admit his mistake since the ep one where he wants to score the pass when he thinks rocky's just a party kid but gives it up when he learns that rocky needs it more. i believe his arc is about learning to gain perspective before he acts and thinking about how his actions may affect other people (at least part of his arc)
and rocky makes mistakes too. he shouldn't have slept with judah and then push him away like that. sure, he was sad and drunk and then panicked because he wasn't ready for it but that's an explanation not an excuse. i'm not judging his actions here because he wasn't malicious here either and he has a lot to deal with but he still hurt judah and that's a fact
both of them make mistakes and that's a part of the storytelling but 1) they don't do it for malicious reasons and 2) it's right away contrasted by the change in them and trying to make things right
(sorry for such a long reply but i'm an engligh major and i tend to overanalyse everything and get excited about good storytelling :D )
i don't get that judah hate. yes, he's spoiled and lacks perspective but he's also kind and supportive and sensitive. he also went through a traumatic experience of a conversion retreat. he's a whole complex character
that being said, rocky really went a long way and my heart aches for him. accepting yourself is not an easy thing. i'm cheering for him!
