I started watching this drama because I was bored and it seemed interesting enough. The first idk 20 or so episodes was fine then it just went down hill. Basically around 25 onwards they’re all filler episodes, branching out into a million different storylines. I’m sorry but I cannot stand the male lead because he’s so expressionless. I understand the whole emo/sad look he had but besides that, his expression just doesn’t change? For the rest of the drama his sad/happy/angry/jealous faces are literally the SAME.
The only reason I dragged myself up to ep53 is because of Mu Jin & Yue Rong. They actually have good chemistry together as a couple. And Kenny Kwan is a good actor! Bless the actual acting skills going on because their side story goes on for like 15+ episodes. And in the whole time, the ML doesn’t appear. Occasionally, I forget he’s even the lead because it’s just so tiring to see him. It would honestly have been better if the love story diverted into MJ & YR. I think from ep 32 onwards I just skipped all the way, focusing on their appearances only.
The fourth prince is great too as a supporting role. Wish they showed more of him. Mu Jin’s sister is your typical jealous villain and I got tired of her character after 25+. Don’t even get me started on the saving FL this minute and the next she’s either hurt, kidnapped or dying.
