Can anyone tell me what the relationship between the male lead and female lead because I saw they have the same…
According to synopsis, they're unrelated. They don't have the same last name it's just English romanisation of words. In Chinese characters it's 白风夕/风惜云 for Lusi and 黑丰思/丰兰思 for Yang Yang. Which makes the duo ”黑白丰思“ because they like to wear black & white respectively. So basically the author just wanted to be quirky and give them similar names lol

Same writer, but different novel / story.
Ahh ok thanks. Because when I looked up the stated novel it shows the novel of Ming Lan

Just started watching this. Seems like an ok medium budget series. I've seen some bad reviews and agree the 1st ep was pretty cringe. But it actually gets better after ep3. So I'm going to try watching a few eps first.

I'm all caught up with the episodes. Genuinely surprised there's more than 42 episodes just because the ending…
UPDATE: completed this drama. Fairly disappointed as it seemed like a moderately budgeted one. Fell flat in the middle tbh and not much character development. I honestly don't get what was the purpose of the story besides the whole "finding the truth" plot. The ending was so extra for the wrong reasons? They could've ended it like 6 episodes early. 7/10

Title Weaving a Tale of Love Spoiler
It seems they're adding more twists to the whole story: first there is the love triangle, now, a new antagonist…
I honestly don't know how they're going to end this drama or when? Because it seems that the new characters have completely new storylines. I'm guessing this has 40+ eps but not sure how they'll throw in an ending lol

Title Weaving a Tale of Love Spoiler
I'm all caught up with the episodes. Genuinely surprised there's more than 42 episodes just because the ending seemed to have put everything together?? Don't even think they needed more tbh it was already dragging so much from ep30+ with the characters not doing much just running in circles especially the FL.

Waiting for him to be the proper main lead rather than than main but always the second one.
On The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion Dec 16, 2020
I actually like this more than Legend of Yun Xi as several misunderstandings aren't dragged out super long. FL's style looks more suitable here with a pop of colour as compared to the fringe situation she had lol.
On Eternal Love Rain Dec 6, 2020
This drama isn't that bad honestly. It's more on the cutesy side and definitely less serious as compared to those super long types filled with mystery and a million plot lines. I really liked the costumes and everything else is quite nice as well. Only the story line is a bit simple. The kind that goes from A to B. I rec watching this if you're looking for a fantasy romance drama that is light and filled with fluff.

came here for AF but was disappointed he's only a 2ML whose role was k..... :(
I know right. I remember watching him in another drama. They're both good and honestly at this point I just want a reverse harem drama because I always end up feeling bad for 2ML who likes the FL.

Title Jiu Liu Overlord Spoiler
I'm at episode 28....and i kinda feel bored. At this point I'm really struggling to finish it.Also i feel so bad…
It's not bad tbh compared to a lot of other dramas that are so terrible I can't manage to get past ep 15. Ep 28 is sort of the turning point & I guess they did it because they want to steer the plot to show the involvement of the people within the palace.
On Jiu Liu Overlord Nov 17, 2020
Give my guys Leon Lai and Alen Fang more ML roles please. I've watched them as support roles in so many dramas. :( I like all the main actors in this though especially the FL since she plays the unladylike role so well lol

*UPDATE*

Finally finished this drama lol I think 36 episodes is just the right length. Thank god it's not 40-50+ or it would've ruined the story. It wrapped up nicely with a good ending but I'm guessing the subbed ver might not be so accurate since a lot of comments seem to say certain parts are confusing.

Title Oh! My Sweet Liar! Spoiler
I'm at ep17 now and it's really annoying the writers suddenly throw in Ru Er's lie and for some reason FL somewhat believes her instead of the ML?? Like... They've been knew Ru Er is evil and somehow FL suspects ML of being the asshole to her mum??
On The Sleepless Princess Sep 1, 2020
I'm starting to understand all y'alls frustration with this show lmao I'm literally at ep27 and they've just gone round and round their romance plot. It's ending at 35 so I'm pretty sure they're throwing everything together around ep30 or so.

Edit: Whewww I've finished this drama. The ending was slightly unexpected though!!! I would rate this a 8.5/10 simply because they spent too much time going in circles w/ their relationship using the whole misunderstanding and jealousy plot. Overall, everything was nice. Really wanted to see the FL in more different outfits. The nicer ones were only worn during the last few eps?? ML is officially the love of my love <3

Ok I’m surprised that this drama was considered a low budget one? Because it was so good???! I would give it 20/10 stars because it was so entertaining to watch and the characters came together beautifully without any awkward chemistry. I loved the concept of the drama of the whole role reversal thing and it definitely created a lot of hilarious moments. Didn’t even know this drama existed until it popped up on my YouTube recommended.

Greatly appreciate how the female lead maintained her wits throughout the whole drama instead of suddenly being a damsel in distress after 5 eps like a lot of other drama even though they were portrayed as “smart”, “cunning” & “good at martial arts”.

On top of that, it only had 24 eps which is perfect unlike other dramas with 50+ that mainly consists of filler stories and boring repetitions.
