Can someone explain to me what the difference is between a ghost and human? I've seen ghost tribe in a few wuxia's…
If you're referring to wuxias, specifically just martial arts fantasy without cultivation/godly realms, then usually the word ghost is used in the names/aliases for clans/sects/people that practice more "wicked" martial arts, or are known for being less honourable and using deceitful attacks, etc.

But normally when you see translators use "ghost tribe" it usually occurs in in xianxias which involve the godly realm. In xianxias, the immortal beings/godly realm beings usually have an animal form, apart from their human figure and they are classified into individual tribes, such as fox tribe, wolf tribe, phoenix tribe, etc. The ghost tribe is sometimes a translation for again, the tribes that are known to be more malicious or have more ill-intent.

Depending on the level of "fantasy" in wuxias, usually they won't feature actual lingering spirits type ghosts. But in xianxias there are ghosts, spirits, demonic energy, etc.

Hope this helps clarify things!
