I also thought that the story could have gone a little differently and shouldn't have ended in suicide or that Dew was reincarnated as a girl. But what brought me comfort was knowing that Dew did not abandon Phop and went to find him at the train station. It was just unfortunate that he didn't quite make it.

To clarify about the car, Dew was hit by a car coming in from a different direction. The camera angle switched perspective so it wasn't the same car that hit him. The first car that stopped caused Dew to fall off his motorbike and he ended up on the other side of the road. Shortly after, a car coming on the side he was now on hit him.
