I wouldn't say being hung up on the age of the actress. I guess my age plays a role in how I look at drama. From the perspective of an observer or, say watcher of drama, I see the age of the actress that plays that role. I don't emotionally attach myself to the actors, I attach to the roles they play. Appearances are important for the portrayal of the role, and in this drama, I question how old the FL is supposed to be. The question is valid and based on the visual we are shown.

Again, to add, this doesn't take away that the actress that plays FL is a great actress and beautiful, and the drama is really good so far.

I hope you understand my meaning when I asked how old she is supposed to be as I asked from the viewer's point of view of how the story should flow.

I agree with all posts. I come as someone who doesn't follow actors, I have no idea about the variety shows that another poster mentioned or what is allowed or not.

Visually speaking, the FL looks way older than the girl whose life she took over. Just looking at the face, the lines and all the makeup that tried to cover that. From that standpoint, it makes me wonder if all those people are blind to believe her story. That part doesn't look convincing. To me, she looks like a mature woman in her mid to late 30s.... closer to my age lol

But all the things mentioned don't take away from FL's beauty. All the actors are beautiful in that drama, and she is a great actress. The ML's acting is outstanding.

I love the comical girls that were given to her as maids. Love that it's not all serious lol

Just started watching, and the only thing that bothers me is how visually the FL looks more mature/older than the girl whose life/name she took over. It's just that it visually doesn't make sense. How old is she supposed to be in the drama? My understanding is that she was married a few years before she was killed.

Appreciate your help! I have been looking at how to report this issue since yesterday and finally got to report as a general feedback as nothing else worked for me. I am not a fan of this actor, or any other, as that is not my personality or I might be too old for that, but that being said I can't stand by and condone such an utter disregard of the most basic human values. I did watch a few dramas with Zhang and consider him a good actor. As a bystander it is clear to me that all that nonsense is a game played against this person by those who have power and money. I have no emotions involved in this, but it sickens me how much some people are willing to go to hurt another. Again, as a bystander one thought keeps popping in my mind why all this might come to the positive end. All the suffering and pain can result in exposing and destroying the obvious corruption that has been happening in that industry. It's like a birthing process, long and painful. After watching the video he posted on Instagram I have such respect for Zhang.

Not really, I noticed one close to the end between the ML and FL, but that was a fake one. I could have missed some as I FF the interactions between the leads. Romance between them felt forced and unnatural. You watch this show for the interactions between the four, that makes up for that.

I wonder if there is a novel that they adapted for this drama. The reason I ask is because I question the FL existence. I am not familiar with the actress and wonder if there is a mistake marking her as a FL or some other reason to have this character in drama. In my opinion the real FL is Su Tang. With the other character (QS) the romance part felt forced and unnatural and her relationship with others as well. The feelings between the four was the real main cast as they did an amazing job portraying their love for each other. Those characters were written in a sense to portray the relationship they had, while the QS was forced in. I can't just blame the actress for being wooden and not able to show her feelings, it was probably directors and writers part too. I should also add Ling to this too.
BTW actress portraying Su Tang has amazing eyes. She reminds me of Frodo in LOFTR where the most important part of acting was with the eyes.

This may or may not be true. If you take your emotions out of all of this what comes out is that this is a typical case of someone spending a lot of money to take someone down. It is obvious that he was targeted, for who knows what reasons. No one knows his mind, so no one can prove that ZZH did this for reasons they accuse him of. Pictures can be faked and taken out of context easily, and this was also timed perfectly to play with people's emotions. Right now it doesn't matter if ZZH is guilty of the accusations or not, what matters is to find the person (with a lot of money and power ... usually goes together) behind everything and then the truth will come out.
