soo it was said that there will be a second season and I saw somewhere that Yin or War already confirmed it, but…
Not confirmed at all. Yin and War just said they would want to make one if they have the opportunity to, but I wouldn't count on that. Not only because of the scandal you cited, but because it might be too much for them since for J&J they had to put a lot of their own money in that to make it happen, and a whole second season does not look feasible unless Police in Love is so successful they get out of debt and make enough for a new season, but that would take a GMMTV level of performance, and that is not an easy feat for an independent producer.

Ah, as much as I can understand people having their own tastes and preferences, I still feel like 7.6 is such an unfair rating for this series. There's not a single character that isn't likable, and even though people are annoyed by Win thinking he doesn't have a backbone, he's still trying to make the best of Nut's experience without giving away he's from the future. He's already made Nut happier than he was. He's also made his own family happier, especially his father.
I think people have been a bit too harsh on Win. It's not easy to bend his own future in a way that is not forceful, especially now that one of the things he wanted to avoid still happened regardless of his attempts - he felt from day one that he can't be that straightforward to forge the path, since he went up to Nut to confess to him and Nut actually started avoiding him! He had to change his approach for things to go at least slightly how he wanted; he needs to thread extremely carefully and he feels this in his bones. He's emotionally exhausted, all the time! And he's not even thinking about himself since he's trying to stay close to Nut but still giving space for Nut and Lin's supposed feelings for each other to grow. It's a very tough position to be in, so I feel people should cut him a bit of slack.
Especially since I don't think this is really a fluff, feel-good series. It's very angsty and characters are very 3-dimensional, with their own complexities and flaws. And I think that's precisely its differential and why I fell in love so hard with it.

I'm a gay man and I love these BL series....I read where the majority of fans who enjoy these series are woman…
Most definitely a lot of them are not straight, but unlike GL industry, that has many many proudly and vocally out queer actresses (since most of GL target audience are queer, especially lesbian, women), BL still is - somehow, in 2025... - mostly thought with straight women in mind, they need to be attractive to them to "sell". Which is ironic, because if any actor shows up with a girlfriend, they flip, saying they 'cheated' their screen partner. But if they come out as queer in any level, unless they enter the industry already out, they get extreme backlash because they stopped being attractive to them. So it's very complicated for them to come out, because they'll always suffer and fans will never be satisfied regardless of the outcome.
Either way I'm glad a lot of actors are little by little losing their fear of coming out (take Supanut for example), and lots of BLs are dissolving this need to appeal only to straight women and making it way more inclusive, even adding GL side couples and other kind of queer characters, and being more appealing for actual queer people as well.
Which I also find kinda ironic, that there's this ancient thought that BL is for straight girls but I've never in my entire 25 years of BL life have met, either on or offline, a whole group of only straight women that love BL. The group was always made of 99% queer women at some level - and quite a few queer men and even several trans eggs. I can count on one hand the amount of BL lover straight women I've met throughout my life, and so does basically everyone I've met through BL. The groups basically have a token straight girl, if so much. So it should actually never have been for straight women only.

Sorry for rambling under your post 😂

I don’t think this is BL pairing. Just handsome men gathered together 😂
It is. They're gonna get voted according to the public's favorite pair match and will star in BL.

Hoping we get an YinWar (full) series every other year like it's happening since their debut together in 2020 lol. Especially since they're risking different genres. I'm not gonna lie, when I watched Club Sapan Fine the first thing I thought after I finished it was precisely "they could do something like this again, they're SO funny", so when they said their next plans was to make a comedy, I was excited and expecting something like Club Sapan instead of their """"romcoms""""" that stab us in the heart repeatedly, and I'm so glad it's exactly the same vibe! But I know this doesn't mean they won't hurt us anyway lmao (I do love me some YinWar angst tho, it's a fine delicacy).

I love YinWar and like the trailer. Hope we get this series as soon as possible. ❤️Nevertheless i wished for…
Honestly, don't bother watching the special episode unless we really get a season 2. The original series is perfectly rounded and ends in itself, the special ep is not a necessary watch anyways.

Yes! This! It looks horribly cringey to western eyes because it's not something we're familiar with, but Jack…
Yeah, when the scene started I didn't really find it cringe but more like very concerning, like 'ok jack completely lost it but why is everyone going along with this', then when I realized what it actually was midway through it the scene got so much sadder I felt my stomach drop. In my rewatch I ended up crying copiously exactly because of the meaning of it. Like I've seen someone say, Jack gave a big middle finger for the whole 'till death do us apart'. He's just not leaving Joke behind.

AND THATS WHY THEY SHOULD MEET AGAIN

i read danmeis but never occurred to me that that was supposed to be a traditional ghost wedding 😂 they should've…
It is not if you observe that Jack's family is still very rooted in traditions. The wedding wasn't a traditional Chinese wedding, that's why they weren't wearing red, Joke is not Chinese after all. But it's still a ghost wedding. The wedding went through like it was planned before Joke 'died', and the planned wedding didn't have them wearing red, simple as that.
It occurred to me precisely because I've read danmeis (and because we know Jack is of Chinese descent), but none of the ones that had ghost weddings were contemporary stories to make an exact comparison. It's just a matter of observation and knowledge of the customs even if briefly like through danmei.

Please guys, about the actual wedding scene:
That's a Chinese custom that dates from centuries ago, it's called ghost wedding. I'm pretty sure danmei fans (should) know about this for Heaven Official's Blessing and/or 2ha. Since Jack is of Chinese descend and his family still hold a lot of traditional customs because of grandma, they went through with the wedding even after Joke's 'death'. That's also why everyone is acting normal in the scene.
