My mom and I binged all subbed episodes yesterday. We are patiently waiting for Ep11. She was smitten by August on the opening credits of Ep1 lol and said it looked fun and decided to watch with me all the available subbed eps. Now she keeps asking me if there's a new ep already lmao

In the original, Kim So Hyun (the FL) is underage during filming (16 i guess). The leads have an 11-yr old age gap between them. It sparked a few debates and discussions online. Some were put off with the age gap bc she was underage and he's a full grown adult. Personally, it didn't matter to me bc they are actors and I loved the original nevertheless. And the kisses were cardboard-ish probably also because of the age gap issue.

I think we all agree on the Sol Lek Club. I wished they get lesser screentime tbh. I'd rather get ghost sob stories than them and idk if I'm the only one who noticed but the background music when Junior - tall one (btw the short one is Leng but his irl name is Junior, it can get confusing lol) is in a monologue is too overwhelmingly loud. Considering this director's resume (the iconic Ong Bak, The Unseeable and Coming Soon to name a few), he is a horror/action guy so we can see the ghosts here are better than the original (and may also be the reason he's not so good with the melo portion).

Thai version is similar to the K-version except that in Thai, Off needs incense to 'offer' the food to Jeen (i dont remember that detail in the korean one).

I'm not familiar with Thai ghosts as I don't watch horror at all but I'm pretty sure there are still haunted houses. In HCTM he can't get out of the cemetery probably bc of some prayers or whatnots that prevents the spirits from going out of there. Ghosts that were not in the cemetery still wanders around.
