This drama seals it for me - Lu Yu Xiao is amazing and I really like her acting. She is natural, so pretty and cute, but at the same time tough and strong. I have watched three of her dramas and all of them are great - she is one rising star! Can't wait to see more of her in upcoming dramas.
Did I miss something? How is the ML suddenly able to line up as a candidate all the sudden without any of the guys questioning it? He had a low status and now worked his way up ...but to qualify as a candidate for marrying her? When did this happen? Can someone enlighten me?
It took me months to get through the first half, but then it picked up and the second half was so so so wonderful. Finally I understood why everyone was obsessed with this drama. ML close ups were pure poetry. The comedy here and there was cute - their relationship so pure and mature. I loved it!
just finished. 10/10. everything was lovely to watch. I loved their chemistry until the end. in the novel actually the father made him promise never to see her again. now in the drama he had his redemption arc, quitting alcohol and making him promise to take care of mu in his absence. I also loved how they handled the mom and zhaos relationship. it was wholesome to watch and I think it was not in the novel, I think it was a nice addition. they also changed the proposal. in the novel he proposed on the hot air balloon (because of the movie *up*) and had San Lai deliver the ring via drone 🤣 he miscalculated that the drone had microphone and San Lai spoke through it. was quiet funny. but the changed proposal was cute too. now I get why they added the little epilogue where she lost her key chain at the airport. it was a little connection to the proposal which took place at the airport and the key chain was used as symbol again. I though it was weird that Wan Qing was used as bridal party. after what happened I don’t think they could’ve joked around with her like that. sorry. they were on such bad terms that mu even had to kneel down to beg her. 🙄 but all in all I didn’t see this drama coming. happy it came and made 2025 so special 😍🔥 now I am watching out for he Yu dramas!!! absolutely love him, his acting, looks and voice.
