For example, 5 Centimeters per Second( Anime Movie by Makoto Shinkai) It shows the cruel realistic representation of long distance relationships I found it to be a huge contrasting movie to the Crash Landing on You Kdrama which features an unrealistic love between a South Korean and a North Korean. Just like you, I also enjoyed 5 centimeters per second for the realistic representation of love it presented in its story. But does that affect my overall enjoyment towards Crash Landing on You? No it doesn't, but if Itaewon Class was a fully romance based drama than I would totally agree with some of the things you have said in your previous comment. The first episode of Itaewon Class did a very good job of hooking me in. The first episode leads you to think that Itaewon Class would be a gritty, action-based, revenge show, but that later romance elements really hindered that feeling and vibe the show gave off at the start of the show. Like I've said earlier, if the romance in general ruins the show's overall plot then the deeper meaning or the realistic representation of the love/romance aspect of the show does not even matter.
