it is not worth of your precious time

This is probably the worst drama series I have ever seen – although I couldn’t even bring myself to watch the last episodes. The female lead is written so poorly that no one could possibly relate to her. She wallows in self‑pity all the time and does nothing to improve her situation. If she isn’t crying, she’s either raging hysterically or so drunk that she embarrasses herself completely night after night. Does anyone even know what she actually does for a living? She spends most days lying in bed, crying over her miserable love life. It’s entirely her own fault that her life is so unhappy. And her parents, with their manipulative behavior, certainly don’t help improve the situation. None of the other characters in the series are pleasant either, nor are they people one would ever want to get to know. I don’t understand why a series about such unpleasant people was ever made.

The series also gives a strange impression of Korean people. Friends and relatives are at times treated very violently and harshly. This includes both emotional and outright physical violence. Alcohol use also seems to be a national problem, if one were to assume that the series reflects real Korean life.

Mature story

This is the first time I write a review on this site. I felt that I had to, because this genuine piece of art has way too low ratings. I loved the actors, they are really talented professonals, they made the story believable. The characters they were acting felt real. The story was multilayered and clever. You could never know what's going to happen next, the plot was never predictable like it so often happens when it comes to Asian dramas. If you are ready for an adult and mature drama, this is for you.

One of the best Chinese drama series I have ever seen

I’m impressed! The story stayed engaging and sincere all the way to the end. The actors were excellent as well, and they managed to convey the characters’ emotions perfectly.

I might have shortened the story just a little. I also appreciate that it focused on ordinary people. A story this meaningful could be set in almost any country or society.

I appreciate that the actors were willing to take on such heavy roles in a story that hardly belongs to the most popular genre.

It was rich in emotions and vitality

The Reborn was able to bring the characters into life in a powerful way. I was hooked from the very beginning. The plot remained interesting and there were no significant gaps. All the actors were good at their roles and the story was convincing and it dealt with important and delicate topics witch is quite rare in the Asian film industry. It told something very important of Chinese culture, especially how they threat their daughters. The only thing I can complein is the last few epidodes. The ending wrapped up reasonable well, but still it left something to be desired. Despite of that, I can
warmly recommend it. I is one of the the best dramaseries I have seen so far.
