I enjoyed every bit of the 1st episode. Except the part of Dali's father and Moo-hak's brother. What happened in that scene? I am confused. Was Dali's father killed and Moo-hak's brother witnessed it? And the preview was also king of confusing. Moo-hak was betrayed by Dali? Tf. I would appreciate it if anyone can clarify the scene involving Dali's father and Moo-hak's brother.
You are right. It is pretty uncommon to find both of the leads rich.
Yeah if you look at them from the financial status perspective then it's indeed the RM/PW trope. But in another sense the female lead grew up in a prestigious, educated family whereas the male lead grew up from poverty. So they kind of balance each other out. At least that's what it's like to me.
She comes from a prestigious family. They used to have a lot of money. But now they don't have that much money. At least that is what I understood. I could be wrong.
Ruby is not going to be the main hurdle in their relationship. So don't worry
Oh yeah. Sae-yi is problematic. She is going to be a hurdle in their relationship. People hates her in the webtoon. And I get a feeling it's going to be same for the drama. It wouldn't be surprising is that happens.
So did the makers officially announce about having season 2? I mean I already see a page for season 2 on MDL....…
May be. I really hope they follow the webtoon thoroughly. Though if they think they can make it better, then I guess they should change things. But I love the webtoon so....
Everyone is saying how they felt the warmth, security and intimacy when Hye-jin and Du-sik hugged at the end. Well I am not denying that those things were not there. But I also felt some other things too. He looked so surprised when she rushed into his arms. I mean I get why he was shocked. She just came into his arms all of a sudden. Anyone would be surprised. But I got a feeling that no one hugged him like that for a long time. And that honestly broke my heart. I felt like there was a bit of sadness and even loneliness behind his shocked expression. He was just so unused to this kind of intimacy. Guy is so lonely and he hides all of that pain and loneliness behind his dimpled beautiful smile. You know they say "The prettiest smile hides the deepest secrets."
Also another thing I noticed, like Du-shik who hides his pain behind his smile and Fix-it-all persona, Nam-suk also hides her pain behind her meddling and gossiping habits. My heart honestly breaks for almost every single character in this drama.
The overall vibe of the drama king of matches the webtoon's vibe. I love the animation of the cell. I can't even express properly how much happy I am to see one of my favourite webtoons in live action and animated. Watching the 1st episode reminded me of the first chapters of the webtoon. They have kept the beginning of the drama pretty close to the webtoon, so I am satisfied for now.
I don't think we are going to get a season 3. And I realised that when Ik-jun said that he felt like it was going to be their last practice session. Also they tied the loose ends of some major stuff that happened. Like Je-hak's storyline.
I didn't like episode 12 and the rushed ending at all!! I am so dissapointed and mad!! ಠ▃ಠThe last episode…
Right?! T-T I also didn't like episode 12 like the other episodes. Of course I had some favourite moments but still it didn't give the impact of a last episode
I think she is in the stage of denial & her pride won't let her acknowledge that she's falling for him when he…
You are absolutely right! In ep.5 she did mention that she doesn't like to drink much/get drunk cuz it makes people vulnerable. So by this kiss she was put in an vulnerable position so she put her defenses up to the maximum.
Also another thing I noticed, like Du-shik who hides his pain behind his smile and Fix-it-all persona, Nam-suk also hides her pain behind her meddling and gossiping habits. My heart honestly breaks for almost every single character in this drama.
