I’ve been reading everyone’s comments and would like to share my POV since I feel like I have slightly different…
I read you whole thread. And I am so glad that you took your time to type all these. Honestly my train of thoughts was very similar to yours when I was watching the drama. So I was kind of off putted at the comments here. But then I saw your thread and I really enjoyed reading this. BTW can you tell me the name of the movie on which this drama is based?
Man you wrote more than me when ranting lmao, I have to say I praise you LOL
Same! I didn't expect myself to get so invested in this drama since this is a rom com, slice of life. But surprisingly the characters are relatable(especially Hye-jin since I am a lot like her) and complex, so this drama felt like a breath of fresh air.
I think most of the people who are watching this season are watching for Song-Hwa and Ik-Sun..... but their screen…
They didn't date because Ik-jun refuted Song-hwa's advances after he got to know that Seok-hyung liked her. He didn't make any move either. So their college life passed just like that and then they went their different ways.
My thoughts are a mess right now. I don't know which ones to say first. But I will try to write them in an organised manner.
I loved the scene between Seok-hyung and Min-ah . Ahn Eun-jin's acting was fabulous! You could literally see Min-ah's heart melting at everything Seok-hyung did. And when he leaned in to whisper in her ears, it was clear as day that she was registering nothing but their proximity. I freaking melted with her in that scene. SO ADORABLE!!! Later when she asked him straightaway about their relationship, I was amazed by Min-ah. She is such an A M A Z I N G person. Just think how confident you have to be to say that "I am a good person. I am a better person than you think I am." TOTAL QUEEN BEHAVIOUR! And I also noticed how much Seok-hyung laughs around her. He truly likes her and enjoys her company. I really liked their communication. The struggle between them, at least I felt, was well portrayed. Since Seok-hyung isn't really vocally expressive about his feelings, he never said anything aloud. So that made Min-ah confused and insecure. But in the end they both gathered their courage to voice their feelings.
I really liked Yong Seok-min's development. I am not sure how many of you remember but in S1 there was this scene where he yelled on a patient and his guardian to go through a treatment procedure. In this episode he calmly explained the whole procedure to the patient with the tumour and his family, with a note of hope. And he said he won't give up explaining to them again and again. It shows how far he has come.
And lastly our IkSong couple. Their feelings have grown so much that it has become so obvious that other can even see it. I loved the whole rainy, romantic atmosphere. I was just holding my breath for something to happen cuz there was much build up. So much tension. I fucking squealed when Song-hwa confessed. But I stopped breathing when Ik-jun kissed her. I DID NOT EXPECT THAT. I don't know how my heart survived all of these in this episode.
Some other things in this episode. U-ju running straight to his father's arms and crying was so wholesome. And the way Ik-jun held him. Then when Je-hak gave his coat to Jun-want was SO CUTE. About the patients' stories... I held my breath during the treatment process of the tumour patient. And I let my breath out in relief with the doctors. Also the delivery scene looked so painful. It was very intense to me. It was so well done.
Except those few scenes, overall I was smiling throughout the whole episode. I love each and every character of this drama. Even the ones who don't appear much. I just love this drama so much. It can literally make me forget about my own stressful life and take me to their world. This drama is my comfort drama.
For me, this drama is perfect. There doesn't have to be any development, any action. I just enjoy watching the…
IKR. I really liked the nurse appreciation part. Like most of the time the doctor in charge gets all the credit. But they don't realise that it's the nurses who prepare everything and actually take care of the patients. No shade to the doctors of course. It's just that nurses are not always appreciated enough. And it made my heart warm when the Si-on's mother gave them that homemade lunch box with the letter.
Everyone is saying that the story is going nowhere and that there's no character development and other stuff. I think the main aim of this season wasn't to take story forward but show different perspectives of the people in the hospital. Starting from the patients and their guardians to the hospital stuff and each individual department. For example this episode's main focus was the ER department and the previous episode's focus was on old patients. It's like that.
I get that you want more character development and story progression and more scenes focused on the main 5. But I also hope that you will realise each episode's theme/focus and appreciate it.
My conclusions after 8 episodes 1. Yo Han killed his brother. He began to feel guilty after Isaac's death. 2.…
Your no.3 makes sense somehow. Like people are saying why Yo han is going to such lengths to bring Ga On on his side and your no.3 observation makes sense in that way
This episode had a lot of cool moments! - As the Winter Garden simp I am, I squeaked when Andrea mentioned his…
I think it was necessary for Suk min to go away. Cuz it made him realise that he is still lacking a lot in terms of experience and that is why he came back to Yulje to learn more and gain more experience.
Can someone tell me is this worth or not? ik already that's its good, but is it worth?
If you are watching for the cast and some visually pleasing aesthetic then it's worth it, but if you're watching for the plot then you're going to be disappointed big time.
I don't think autism was depicted as a burden in IOTNBO. Instead it made Sang-tae's character more endearing. And for all we know they all had PTSD from their childhood. Mun-young's mother traumatised her and the Moon brothers were also traumatised because of their experiences with their mother. Yes, it's said that Ko Mun-young has Anti-social personality disorder, but was it really that? Or was it the effects of what her mother taught her? I think you misinterpreted it.
The scene with Yeon-U Mom and Gyeu Wool is the best scene in this episode. But can you tell me if there’s already…
Yeon-u's story starts at the very beginning of S1. I think he died around the first 2-3 episodes of S1. I don't remember properly but we did see Yeon-u's deterioration and death in S1.
