At the same time though a fire started (some guy that had a grudge against his father started the fire) and it ended up killing his entire family. He was the only one to survive. Later his life became a subject of a documentary and to hide his identity he wore glasses and turtle necks to cover up his scars. He believed himself to be a monster with no emotions cause he didn't feel sad that this happened to him, but instead liberated. (It explains what happens in more detail in ch 68-69 TW:Suicide)

Okay, I just re-read the ending of the manhwa and I want to clear things up a little. Lee Hwi (Which is the FL as the King) dies. FL doesn't end up drinking the poison but is shot by an arrow later. (to which FL does survive) The ML however says that Lee Hwi did in fact die from the arrow. At the very end of the story when the ML is talking to the 2ndML he says "Lee Hwi is no more but Yeon Seon is alive" Yeon Seon is the FL but as herself not the king. So basically, the FL does survive.
I hope he does! Do we know if it's like this in the manhwa? I don't mind spoilers, someone please tell us ;___;

I believe it has something to do with korean age and international age. So like the 15+ rating JTBC uses is korean age, while netflix uses international age the 14+. It is the same with the 19+ rating, where 19+ is korean age, which would be 18+ for international age. idk if that makes sense....

In the manwha there wasn't much romance it was more focused on the story and the characters backstories. But if I had to say if there was romance it would be between the FL and ML (Nam Gil). Between the 2ML (Eun Woo) and the FL is more of a friendship or a relationship of a convince (in the beginning).

I did read the manwha. There is somewhat of a love triangle. The FL likes the ML and the ML likes the FL. The 2ML likes the FL but it is one-sided. The 2ML doesn't really have feelings until he finds out the FL is female. The ML however likes the FL before and after he finds out she is female. There is even a moment before the ML finds out the FL is female where the FL asks the ML if he likes guys cause ML was so interested in the FL. (sorry if this sounded a little confusing if you have any more questions feel free to ask! :))
