When I point ML weaknesses for correction purposes, his fans came at me and branded me his hater. Well I might…
Hey, you're commenting as if you've watched all of his dramas. I don't care whether your so-called concern for him is genuine or just an excuse to look for his flaws. One thing — don’t forget that he didn’t come from an acting school, and you're being overly judgmental toward him here. Only fans and people who have followed his dramas over time truly understand his growth — unlike someone who suddenly shows up and criticizes him this harshly.

Let me ask you: are you even someone who understands this field? Because the way people perceive acting varies from person to person. You said he's bad, like a robot, and too focused on appearance — but random people walking by might not agree with your opinion. Most people tend to judge just because he's handsome. But being handsome doesn't mean he can't act.

Of course, Linghe would accept it. Someone smart and insightful like him surely knows his own weaknesses. He accepts everything — even hateful words — and he's already used to being treated unfairly, even being used as a stepping stone to lift others up. All just because he doesn’t have strong backing in this industry. I'm not forcing you to understand or support him. But don’t forget — when this was filmed, he had only been four years into his debut.

(Note: If you truly want to see him grow and learn, thank you. I’ll share his interview with China Daily from a few days ago.)

Q3: how is your background in science and engineering has influenced your acting career?

zlh: when I used to make mistake on a question, I would go back and think about why I got it wrong. I'd review it again and try to find other ways to solve it more efficiently. what is this? this is actually a kind of learning ability.

I think the biggest gain from my study in junior high school, high school, and college is a good study habit. now when I read the script or study the scenes with my costars or other film and television works. I will apply this habit of going back and forth, rewatch, and reflect deeply.

sometimes there may be no clear results, but at least I've gone through the process and I have gained a small insight from it.

in fact, in the past two years, I've spent more time studying how to deliver lines. I used to have no idea how to deliver a line with emotion. later, I wondered why does it sounds different when I say it compared to someone else? then I met all kinds of actors and met many seniors who gave me advice. through constant trial and error, I've made progress. it's still not perfect now but compared to before, there's improvement.

sometimes you have to keep things from real life in your heart. you can’t just focus on the script and dialogues. you also have to care about your opponent actor's dialogues and how to respond it truthfully. the genuine reaction that you give is the support for you to say the next dialogues more naturally.)

I already expected his screen time to be limited, since I read the novel even back when the drama first started…
But please don’t judge me for saying this. Overall, the cinematography and tone of the drama are fine. What actually made me uncomfortable was that the transitions didn’t look good and felt choppy. I don’t know what kind of issue happened here — maybe they were pressed for time and had no choice but to release it now, otherwise it would’ve been delayed

I already expected his screen time to be limited, since I read the novel even back when the drama first started gaining attention. I didn’t think much of it, honestly, and his appearance here feels more like a special appearance or guest role because the focus is clearly on the friendship between the Qunshan kids. I see JQX as more of a key character towards the end, since he's Lin Yingtao's love interest. But since he's the male lead here, my only disappointment is that his character development and family issues were shown only briefly and felt rushed. Maybe I had too high expectations, especially because Linghe joined this drama due to its plot and director, and it’s a Daylight production, we all know how high-quality their work usually is. Well, I guess nothing is guaranteed nowadays🥲

Can you say more, please (i cant translate) :(
He Suye actually suspected that he was Shen Xifan's love substitute.
Why is "Love You" a cliché? Many of its lines are quite meaningful. For example, the part where the junior sister and the male lead chat about milk tea. It seems that they are talking about milk tea, but they are actually talking about love. Ambiguity is like drinking sugar-free milk tea. You can enjoy the sweetness of love without any burden. At this time, He Suye should also be doubting that he is Shen Xifan's love substitute. Their relationship is just a "simulated love", so he also retreated and did not contact the heroine for a long time...
The turning point appeared when the heroine's bestie pushed the heroine to explain. At that time, although the heroine did not explain, He Suye already understood that the heroine really liked him, because people who only want to enjoy ambiguity will not waste their energy, nor will they rush out of the door because of shame in the cold weather.
Finally, during the Chinese New Year, when the heroine made a birthday video call to the hero, the hero said "I finally saw it clearly", which was actually expressing that he saw the heroine's feelings for him. They both wanted the best for each other. In this relationship, no one would be hurt by the other's ruthlessness. Their feelings officially rose from ambiguous to a closer and more trusting relationship. What's particularly good about this episode is that it first allows us to see He Suye's inner loneliness, and then allows us to see how Shen Xifan filled these holes. The emotional transitions in these two episodes were really well shot, and I don't feel that I need to feel unfair for the hero. They are both people who will make each other better...
