I just realized that at some point in the future dd will be without both of her parents because of their lies.…
I think Dandan will be swayed to forgive her mother if she tells her how she came back from abroad to find her husband had shacked up with the neighbour. And she'll forgive her dad if he tells her he was suicidal and about the kill them both. Theres gonna be drama about it but i don't think she'll be without them in the end
Omg... probably you're right about the Japanese historical romances. But is it always they're partially shaved/bald…
You mean Rurouni Kenshi live action movies? They’re based on anime which is not so historically faithful. And I am aware of the Qing dynasty but I wouldn’t say that they’re super popular, especially in the romance genre. I could be wrong though. I’m used to mostly seeing The Untamed style long hair and flowy robes. Usually the Qing stuff is chosen when they’re focusing on stories based in history right?
I've had this theory for a while that historical romances from japan aren't as popular as the ones from Korea/China among foreign audiences because........of the hair ^^". I think historical romances are generally more popular among women and its hard to have those dreamy male leads when they commit to the partially shaved/bald heads as opposed to the long flowy hair you see in more popular historicals from other countries. Just a theory though, I do also think lack of production quality (lighting/camera quality, even for nonhistoricals) as well as the sheer lack of Japanese dramas legally available and promoted to foreign countries is also a problem. Japan is so strict with copyright foreign fans rely a lot on word of mouth and illegal streaming.
idk why everyone is hating on this show already. i get that everyone has their opinions but from the cover, you…
The issue isn't the length, it's the writing. Two 50 min episodes? that's the length of a movie, it should NOT be a problem. The writing is just bad and poorly paced. Yes there's some funny moments, and bits where the characters do have chemistry. BUT 90% of the time they're stuck in the hotel room talking with each other, their relationship should be way more detailed and fleshed out than it is. (For the 1st two eps) The only reason it was watchable was the sexual tension between them, they're so ready to go but in the end, they get together and the tension just fizzles into nothing? The actors are the only reason the show is getting as many stars as it is. The future couple stories might be better but looking at the setup for MaxNat and the clips i've seen i think it will be a similar situation. Again i really don't think the length should be an issue, there are so many good lbgt+bl movies that can match that run time.
