It would easily have been one of the best korean dramas of all time, like in top 3 for me personally at least,…
I agree and disagree. Definitely not one of the best kdrama of all time material but the ending really left a deep scar on the audience. Scarlet Heart Ryeo is also like that and people are still talking about it for years, and still managed to maintain the top spot on that one illegal streaming site despite the ending. I'm certain that the ending was made like that to make people talk about it for years. If it had a fairy tale ending, it would just be forgotten like Reply 1997, which in my opinion, had the best ending for any kdrama. It's very new to see a mainstream kdrama go that route which I personally think is needed in kdramas. It's either you make a very bad ending that people will talk about it for years, or an ending so mediocre (such as Sky Castle) or justifiable that people forget about it after some time.

It has been a year since I watched this, and I still think about this drama once every three days. It's the drama of my life.

plot is weird and a major trigger warning for people who were sexually abused. would recommend it if you're watching for the romance. the romance is satisfactory ig?? and the visuals of the leads, THEY'RE JAPAN'S FUTURE!! that's enough reason for you to waste your time on this.
