I know that's how it's supposed to be but it doesn't really make sense with the possible evolution of the story, I guess we'll see

This drama is lighthearted and beautiful, the plot isn't overcomplicated, the cast is very good, chemistry is there too, all in all it's a great drama in my books if you enjoyed these dramas, you'll sure enjoy this one too:

Yes! Sometimes this is just the type that is needed, I find myself too emotionally invested in overly complicated plots that it kills the enjoyment

I started this drama thinking it was going to be as good as Ruyi or Yanxi Palace, but it doesn't hold a candle to them, sure the sets, costume and ost are beautiful, but the story really is sub par, too slow at the beginning, then it picks up a little, slows down again, only the be rushed at the end, we're talking about 76 episodes! They couldn't even escalate the ending properly? The story isn't that amazing either, what's done is done, but I wouldn't recommend it, it's good, an 8 at most, but I'd say don't waste your time, there are much better dramas out there

I agree, some old school dramas are real gems, instead of watching new below average dramas like king the land, I would've much prefered to watch one of those that I haven't watched yet

Why are you assuming that arabs are rating it badly instead of just people rating it badly becaue they didn't like it? It was such a boring tv show, it barely had anything going for it

I agree with you, it's completely within her right to respond. I've noticed that in recent dramas and especially this one they use really unflattering colors on her when it comes to makeup for sure! Hairstyle and costumes play a role too, for exemple I think they did a good job on her in Jun Jiu Ling, but in this drama, it's very poorly done

I watched a lot of her dramas as I love her, but I thought the same thing actually, I couldn't tell what changed exactly but I do think she looked her best in GMB, and as some people pointed it out, it might be because she has lost weight compared to back then, I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say that i can't really blame people for thinking this, I have gained weight for the past couple of years, and everyone has been showering me with compliments, from old to young, they say i look more youthful etc, even though i'm planning on losing that weight because it just doesn't feel like me, even though i don't think i look bad, but i'm more used to my old looks which is the only thing i have knows for decades!

Currently on ep 14 and pushing through with difficulty, story is all over the place, so many plot holes, I was expecting it to be similar to Romance of Tiger and Rose but it doesn't hold a candle to it! I'll keep watching and hope for a some improvement
