Title TharnType Spoiler
i remember watching tharntype last year and i couldn't bring myself to finish the first episode, and here i am a year later giving it another chance and i have to say that finishing the drama left me with mixed feelings. as much as everyone is referring to it as problematic and so on, the drama isn't that good but it isn't that bad either. personally, i took things from a psychological perspective and found myself understanding characters in-depth. from PTSD, to internalised homophobia, and overall mental instability shaping harmful behaviours, the on-going inner and interpersonal conflict was well-portrayed. i could say that what is unique in this drama is that it highlighted the ugly side of life, and in particular toxic relationships. on another note, i can't deny that there are some parts which made me uneasy and i can't blame anything but the script and part of the plot. i guess this drama isn't for everyone after all and that's why many find it disturbing.

If you love music and vocal/guitar-playing raw, you should watch Ingredients. It's about a chef and a musician…
that sounds very interesting!! i will add it to my to-watch list and give it a shot ~.~

unfortunately i had to drop this after finishing the 6th ep. i may have enjoyed the first episodes because they were fresh and light but i kept anticipating some glow in the story other than the typical getting together part but i was met with none. surprisingly i found myself liking side characters more than the main ones particularly beer and dr perth but it wasn't enough to get me to carry on watching. other than that, what irked me the most is the parts when the character sings something and they play the recorded version of the song. as a music lover, i would've very much appreciated if the vocals and guitar playing parts were raw; it would've been more realistic and organically beautiful. overall, the series was okay but not something that leaves me passionate.

I loved the first three episodes, remind me the movie "Call me by your name", the cinematography, the music, the…
this is exactly what i went through. the first episodes impressed me but the more i watched, the more emotionally disconnected i felt. the drama is good in terms of cinematography and script writing, the actors did a great a job portraying the characters but there is something off i cannot pinpoint especially from the climax to the resolution and i agree with the fact that the director's vision heavily impacted the acting's degree of realism to the point that it messed with the drama's beauty. i hope the second part is promising and fills the gaps we felt while watching the first part.

Title Why R U?
Can you imagine a world in which everybody agrees on everything? How boring that world would be! :)

Title Why R U?
i'm the kind of person who checks comments before and after watching a series, trying to grasp people's opinions and i'm always left shocked at how different we are when it comes to judging a drama. i'd be like this drama is meh and still find people heavily praising it while i'd be like omg why the fuck did i take so long to watch something as outstanding as this and others be like this was nothing special. i just want to say please give every drama a chance and don't go by those 5 shining stars or anybody's comment/review (including mine) because there are lots of opportunities there and no one other than you can make the judgement. setting all of this aside, i want to say that watching why r u was among the best choices i've made in my whole drama-watching career. there's just this special something about why r u that made me long for characters and the universe they live in (dying for a second season btw). i sometimes feel like i'm too biased when giving a 10/10 rating to a drama because let's be real no work is perfect and there has to be that one element that makes us feel off, but with why r u it was different. i can't point out a single time when i felt bored or annoyed or whatever feeling i usually go through because of slow burn or exaggeration or unfocused events, etc. with why r u i couldn't feel neither time, nor space all i was able to focus on is the relationship between the characters to the point that the plot became blurry, it was like a natural flow of events and some might see this as a weak point but i'd rather say that the strength of acting didn't cover up the plot but made it more plausible to some extent. i have already watched behind the scenes episodes and i want to thank the whole why r u team in general and the director in particular because a big part of the whole series is thanks to their hard work. i'm looking forward to other BL thai dramas but in the meanwhile there would be no beautiful acting like fighter's and tutor's, no beautiful bond as theirs on and off camera; there's just too much beauty of pure emotions in this drama that i rarely see in other works and i'm so happy i gave myself the chance to experience it.

i'm going to be so honest and say that this drama lacks something that i can't quite put a finger on. i started watching the drama as i'm a fan of both lee dong wook and jo boah and i wasn't disappointed one bit by their acting BUT the chemistry didn't clearly work out between them and i didn't dwell on it because i don't really care much if there isn't romance in a drama as long as the plot is interesting. i carried on watching until i reached the 6th episode and i decided to drop it because i found myself no longer absorbed in the events? i couldn't feel that spark and excitement anymore.. there isn't nothing wrong with the drama per se, maybe i had too high expectations because it's a fantasy/thiller drama and i'm a sucker for these genres

i'm really surprised with everything this drama has given in only two (really short) episodes. i'm amazed by how raw and natural the cast is. their acting is beyond refreshing you literally can find yourself laughing and smiling along with them as if you were part of the scenes being played. the chemistry between the main couple is no joke. both boys portrayed their character very well. the plot is okay and the events are progressing just fine. i wish this was made into a longer drama !!!
