The Big Boss took quite a risk, giving Tew a loaded firearm. Even with a short-barrel revolver, it would be impossible to miss at that range, and it would take just one of those .38 Special rounds to dispatch the Boss.

I just binge-watched this again. Quite a bit different from Thai BL series, which is mostly what I watch. And of course, at the scene toward the end where Qiu Zi Xuan is telling Hsia Yu Hao what he's getting into, all I could think was...

I suspected that the high-school subplot was in the past; after the first couple of episodes, it was obvious there was no other connection between the highschool characters and the adults. However, it would have been at least twelve years before persent, which would put it to 2010-2011, and the mobile phones they were using were definitely not *that* old.

So sad. I should actually be glad that the writing and the acting were so terrible, or I would have gotten even more depressed.

Finally watching this. I don't get it... if Sun is supposed to be a source of blood for Sky, why have him risk his life by being Sky's bodyguard? Surely they can afford more bodyguards!

Not as big a plot hole as you think. Kang is RICH. He must have lots of people that can do things quickly for him (think of how Tin in LBC had people dig up information for Pete). Finding out the cell tower where the call was placed is easy. That would get him within a couple of blocks of the hotel in a densely-populated city such as Bangkok. He, or some more of his people, go to the expensive restaurants in the hotels, bribe the concierge with a few thousand Bhat, and they tell him where the pretty boy is with and which room. None of this need be shown on screen.

The actual plot hole is how quickly everything happened, not to mention how quickly Kang arrived; it couldn't have been more than fifteen minutes between the call and the scene where the paedophile was starting to molest Sailom.
