Public schools (in this case: CCNY (or any of the CUNY colleges) and SB) are not significantly cheaper in terms of tuition for foreigners, and the cost of living in NYC would be his main concern; the tuition would not make too much difference.

ZY is a top student, presumably going to study computer science or some other engineering discipline. A community college would be a waste of his time and a waste of his talents. He's going to NYC, so his choices are really Columbia and NYU, maybe CCNY, maybe Fordham. At most we could count Stevens, across the Hudson in Hoboken, as a NYC school with decent engineering, and Stony Brook some 90 miles away. All of these schools follow the standard admissions pattern, none would be making an exception to the requirements.

Plot hole: you cannot decide one day to go study at a reputable US university and take off three days later. You need to take SATs, TOEFL, get recommendation letters, apply for admission, get admitted, get your student visa... all this takes almost a year!

It's more of a problem with local laws, and also what you can show on television. By contrast, in live theater, full nudity, while not common, has not been an issue in most of Europe and the less-uncivilized parts of the USA for many years.

I'm on episode 3... if the truck could get to the house by road, how can the scooter be finding obstacles and must be taken off road?

I will probably just fastforward to the steamy scenes. At least i hope there will be some, i can't imagine much of a story developing given the setup.
