Without spoilers, can anyone tell me if this movie ends happily, or at least hopefully? After reading the synopsis I am prepared for pain but I have trouble watching movies that don't end well.
No one is gay one is straight they r twins didn't u see
Yes, good point about how many of these tropes are common to all Asian dramas! There are definitely certain elements we expect to see when we watch a drama from Thailand, for example, or China.
As to the still in the article, I'll do my best: #13 - Love By Chance, Guardian (this is a bromance, not BL), #12 - Together with Me #11 - 2 Moons, Kiss: the series #10 - Love By Chance, The Lover (on youtube), Kiss: the series #9 - Together with me, Long time no see (I think), My Tee, Like Love Uncut 2 #8 - Sotus #7 - Waterboyy, the second is a drama I've watched but for the life of me I can't remember the title , Sotus #6 - 2Moons #5 - HIStory: Obsessed #4 - Either Kiss: the series or Dark Blue Kiss, Sotus S, Love by chance #3 - Together with me #2 - first one isn't ringing any bells, Love by Chance, Sotus #1 - 2moons, love by chance

Good point. There are several series that are marketed as BL that may not revolve around a school setting. I've noticed that BL dramas are generally getting a little more flexible about the setting. (Not Me being a perfect example). I think as the BL genre evolves it will be more about sticking true to those classic BL tropes, rather than the setting being in a university or whatever.
Bakery Boys is an interesting case. It's based off of a japanese manga called Antique Bakery, which is technically Shounen-Ai. That's a genre that isn't really BL (there's not much romance) but there are lots of cute guys who may flirt with each other or suggest that there's something going on. You might call it queer-baiting, I suppose. I'm interested to see how far Bakery Boys goes into BL territory. My guess is that they will keep it fairly tame.
Just finished the first episode and WOW. What a strong first ep. The acting is much better, and the storytelling was excellent. Everyone's motivations make sense and I'm excited to see what happens next (even though I've got a pretty good idea where this is going.)

It's not like there is a hard rule about what is BL and what isn't, but if a show hits most of these points then it is probably BL:
- Revolves around a gay romance - Typically made in Asia (many BL dramas are Thai and Taiwanese but there are many good quality shows coming out of the Philippines now, and it seems like S. Korea is trying to get into the game as well) - Characters are portrayed as "boys" (young men or students) - Usually takes place in a school setting but not always - Contains many typical "BL" tropes (this is an interesting discussion of some common BL tropes but it's not exhaustive by any means: https://aminoapps.com/c/bldrama/page/blog/best-13-bl-drama-tropes/gqXJ_qdH6uq21WMZN4KnMv4MJYd5QwEaXW )
I'm an episode behind because I'm watching on viki, but I'm disappointed there wasn't more chemistry in episode 8. :( It seemed like they had plenty in season 1 and even in previous episodes of season 2, but it's absent in the episode.
I seem to be in the minority here but I actually enjoyed most of episodes 1-6. The TinCan relationship develops…
LOL yeah, I skipped through all that. But there's not as much of it as you'd think. TL;DR Ae is depressed and pushes everyone away, Pond eventually get through to him.
Dunno what you all complaining about. I really enjoyed all episodes until now, because i can see them interract.…
I agree. It's nice because we get a little more time and depth to their developing relationship than we got in the original. Plus there are a couple things I actually prefer. I enjoyed the first 6 episodes and I look forward to seeing them develop.
Can is crying because they lost the game? I didn't even cry when my cat died!
LOL. Well, knowing Can I think it was a combination of things. Emotionally he's a bit immature. So it was probably everything just piling up...losing the game, No getting hurt, his friends scolding him for trying to be positive, and Tin suddenly disappearing from his life. At that moment he probably just felt like his world was crashing down around him.
okay so i haven't started this yet as i heard about the... choice... to start tin and can's relationship from…
I seem to be in the minority here but I actually enjoyed most of episodes 1-6. The TinCan relationship develops in a similar way to the first season, but I feel like there's a little more time spent on it and more depth as a result. Plus there are a couple things, like the scene where Tin reveals to Can what his brother did to him, that I thought were handled better than in the first season. I skipped through much of the angsty, pining Ae scenes, they're just filler. But if you want some extra TinCan cuteness, I would recommend at least skimming through episodes 1-6.
