Just finished it and I absolutely loved it. Many felt the pacing was off but it didn't bother me at all. I liked the faster action of the past flashbacks mixed with the quieter, more introspective present-day segments. Sophee was a pretty one-dimensional villain but I thought Pear did a fabulous job with it, she was entertaining to watch. Of course the BillyBabe chemistry was off the charts lol.
I don’t understand the king hate. He is the only logical person in this series! He said singha shouldn’t bring…
Well ultimately this is a romance, so they have to find more ways for Thup and Singha to be together. It wouldn't do for Singha to be doing all this investigating each episode without Thup anywhere to be found. So yeah, it doesn't make a ton of sense but it's fun to just roll with it because it drives the romance plot forward. I'm sure there are plenty of police dramas you can watch if you prefer a more realistic depiction of a police investigation...we definitely don't come to BL expecting factual accuracy lol
For as much as I hate top/bottom mentality, I want to add that here Thup has been the flirtier and more "open"…
Yeah I also strongly dislike top/bottom politics but Thup has definitely been the 'pursuer' so far in this relationship, and if you go by cliche BL rules that means he's the top lol
Guys, I've noticed a lot of animosity towards King's character. There's absolutely no justification for his behavior,…
As someone who also had messed up parents, I will agree that yes, having difficult parents can really twist your world view. But you grow up and become your own person, and can make your own decisions about right and wrong. Arresting an innocent man out of what...jealousy? Spite? Is wrong and King knows it. I respect your opinion and you should definitely enjoy the drama however you want, but he won't be getting any pity from me!
I had said before in other comment sections that I'm not a fan of continuous flashbacks in a plot. I prefer to…
I enjoy non-linear storytelling but I can understand why someone might feel frustrated at just getting bits and pieces of their backstory. Personally I feel like it would be a bit anticlimactic to get the whole backstory in one or two episodes because then we would just be frustrated waiting for Kaewta to remember everything. Instead we are seeing the story unfolding slowly along with Kaewta and there are still some mysteries. But that's just my personal opinion!
I am pleasantly surprised! I swear the twist at EP 2, I didn't see it coming. Like Sumiura I was oblivious to…
Haha actually same here! I knew a little bit about the plot already so I knew that AE and Enaga were the same person, but I had to do a double take to determine if it was the same actor. That wig is truly horrible LOL
I really don't understand the hype for this show, I mean, I just don't get it… unless it's because of Enaga/Ayumu's…
"a small, helpless boy who trips over his own feet falls in love with a handsome, tall man—and that's the driving force and the main reason he keeps going and pursues his dreams."
I guess you could see it that way but you're disregarding a lot of the nuances. Teenage Chiaki was inspired by seeing AE walk the runway (I didn't read it as falling in love) to become a fashion designer. He isn't helpless - we see that he is very skilled at design, he works hard at his day-job, and he's a good cook. However, he hasn't ever really dipped his toes into the 'nightlife' and that's where AE steps in.
AE is Chiaki's bias - he loves and idolizes AE as a fan. It's Enaga who he truly falls in love with. Although Enaga is tall, he is not considered handsome (that wig!! lol) and is also clumsy, and not as skilled in sewing as Chiaki. It's the conflict of his feelings between AE, who Chiaki loves as a fan, and Enaga, who he grows to love after working closely on the project together, which makes the plot so interesting to me.
