Please give him another chance :) He's amazing in Hello Monster and Love in the Moonlight!
Uh, why do you think the manager chooses the script they choose? Because they know it will fit the actors' abilities. Don't be so naïve, Bo Gum is very popular with the Korean public - if he was able to act a complex role, directors would be practically begging him to take huge roles left and right. I'm not saying he's a terrible actor, I love him in Reply 1988, his acting talent is just not versatile, creative, or anything special. And where did I talk about gender???
Just talk about what exactly? About her trauma? And u didn't know it was going to be plain misery seeing that…
Yawn ur putting words in my mouth no one said shit about a "kickass baddie" pls get out of the comments if u can't grasp the most simplest dialogue criticism, very weird that you inflate this with your parasocial relationship with HyeJoo.

Just responding to people in conversations like a human being... SO many unnecessary moments where instead of talking properly, she just purses her lips and looks down. It makes the dialogue so infuriatingly fake and flat. The writers take the easy way out, instead of giving her a personality, they give her the "damaged reserved woman" cliche. Yaaawn! Also, why would I give a shit about the tags? Pleeenty of Korean melodrama's that have better execution.
So far this kdrama has just been pure misery and HyeJoo's aggravating silence in a sad attempt to make a political drama. I had to drag myself through these 10 eps. So many times I wanted to scream "JUST TALK HYEJOO!! SAY SOMETHING" lol. There are also an unrealistic amount of suicides connected to the plot.
I barely made it through the first episode. What the hell did the writers think when writing the characters? So awful, they all seem like bad people. Young version of Eun Hui was incredibly cringe cliche as well. That was a waste of time
Absolutely wonderful written story and acting. I cried a few times near the end. The attitude of the judge towards young offenders is a bit weird but other than that, 10/10. The depth and complexity of this story does not compare to your everyday romcom kdramas which is hard to find nowadays. They managed to make a moving, tragic and honorable story without unnecessary angst.
You may want to rewatch the scenes where Ji Hoo explains why he likes the things he likes and how it makes him…
Dude, the whole point is that it’s YOUR choice to feel okay or not okay about something. You have the freedom to say: Hell no I don’t like inflicting pain, or Hell yes I do like inflicting pain. No one is making the choice for you, so it’s okay for both sides to have an opinion, it doesn’t invalidate the other.
I loved it from beginning to end!!! :) thumbs up to the screenwriters and actors. I think theres some obvious reasoning to the ending that a lot of people are missing, the entire point is she said that she is sure she will get hurt again, nevertheless,….. Bittersweet love. Why should the ending of a drama be the most perfect and ethical one? The screenwriter has the freedom to pick whichever ending she wants for her characters. Ofcourse anyone can have an opinion on it. Its just weird to dismiss the entire drama solely because it didnt end the way you wanted it to. For new watchers, i totally recommend giving it a go. The chemistry between FL and ML is very refreshing, especially in earlier episodes.
Still loving this drama but it would be 1000x better if they gave PJE some backstory. Nabi is just receiving crumbs of his personal life at this point. Hope the coming episodes succeed in adding more depth to his character. I also appreciate how this is the only love triangle in a k-drama ever, that doesn't frustrate me. At this point I don't care who Nabi ends up with, I'm just interested in seeing the journey of her trying to navigate the harsh reality of young adult relationships.
Will there be a second season?
