I really enjoyed it. I don’t understand why you would watch a remake when you didn’t like the original. It’s a "very" loose adaptation and I agree that the age difference meant that crucial scenes were skipped so that it spoilt the storyline. I still don’t understand why they did it, all I can think of was they wanted the controversy to get publicity. As for lack of emotion I usually blame the director as actors do what they are told. The director "staged" it so they could get away with the age difference. As for Mac, he is quite young but again his acting I don’t think is entirely to blame. I think some of it is the director again and the character he is portraying is meant to be quite serious and grumpy at times. I thought he did okay.

Stay with me is an adaption and is a fantastic watch. It has an open ending as there was supposed to be a season 2. The season 2 is now supposed to be an animation. The original actors weren’t even allowed to do the voices. China strikes again! Despite that I would recommend you watch it it will leave you wanting more.

Well it was very loosely based on "Addicted Heroin" and I did feel annoyed at the casting of a very young actor for Poppy but all that being said I watched it and I enjoyed it. I have noticed that people weren’t happy with Mac’s acting, but I think he is acting the part of Poppy well. As far as I can remember the character is supposed to be quite serious so the grumpiness and deadpan expressions are in keeping. so far I have enjoyed every version and at least with this one there is supposed to be a season 2 at last.

Earth is really handsome but he looks like he has had filler in his lips and maybe something with his teeth being filed straight. I prefer the natural way he looked before. I also dislike him being cast in a “whiny” character role again. It would be nice to see something different.

l didnt mind it at first but it is NOT ADDICTED HEROIN. It’s taken all the aggressive grittiness out and made a soft fluffy bl. Because they picked an actor with a controversial age we don’t even get any kisses. I feel quite annoyed by this bait and switch. If only someone would do an adults only version and tell the true story.

That was very confusing at times but now I have watched the end I think I get most of it. The Korn/Tonkla ending was a standout and took me right back to UWMA. OMG I was off crying again. The acting was outstanding especially Bas and Fuaiz. I do love Bible/Jes too.

Pon and Sailub did the perfect portrayal of how passionate and exciting love at the start of a relationship is. it was really well acted. I also loved Benz and Garfield and would like to see them in an offshoot of the series.

only 2 episodes in and I am enjoying it. One day though I would love to see them do a version like the original adaptation. This feels like it’s going to be a much softer sweeter version.

That’s definitely a possibility but his parent and agent should be protecting him. If the director is doing anything wrong hopefully he will be prosecuted.

I get where you are coming from. It’s different in different countries though. Most other BLs are not controversial, maybe you could watch the more romantic ones. Where I live people date, kiss and have sex sometimes as young as 11 (which is shocking). It’s definitely not in common for young people to have had sex by 16. But its different all over the world. Mac the actor playing Poppy may have done all those things already and not be at all bothered by the kissing.

Also different countries see things differently. He also has been acting for years and it is just acting.

Someone just told me the age of consent is 15 in Thailand so maybe they aren’t breaking any laws. Still would be better with adults but his parents and the actor must have agreed.

The other thing that is annoying. I don’t know if you watched Stay with Me, but they could have done that with it. All implied. It was beautifully done. it’s very irritating.
