It also depends on where you live though. In Asian countries for example, even if you can afford, you still have to pay heavy tax to own cars as it's considered a luxury purchase and the government wants to minimize the cars on the road and instead wants it's citizen to use public transport.
So, as it's an Asian drama, you have to think of it from an Asian perspective.

If I remembered correctly the son had a great vision as well on top of being able to fly. He could see distant objects clearly (like he saw the girl he liked from his window during the CSAT exam preparation night). Also I think he had sharp hearing as well (not sure though -- could be from the mother's side).
Did anybody noticed in the episode the look on the youngest son face when the director brought "wild ginseng" to the mother in law (his wife). I think the youngest son already knew that he had sexual dysfunction. So when his gf said she was pregnant he was shocked as to how could it be and hence, the reason he did paternity test after the child was born was to confirm it.
