"I told sunset about you" is not a bl drama. it's not a typical fiction romance about two boys... This bl has that pure and realistic elements that is very rare. the whole screen play is pure, real, bare , and true to reality. there's not even a ounce of fiction in it. the story starts among friends, it revolve around friendship, attraction, dream, life and hardwork. this story shows the real challenges faced by a gay person, about the changes one faces in the adolescence. this drama had so much I could relate to. And some people might find it boring but only because this drama has no virtuality, fiction or dreamy fake scenarios. Its of the SLICE OF LIFE genre. the only other bl with similar portrayal of reality is the japanese bl "LIFE~LOVE ON THE LINE". this drama is not just about two boys falling in love actually it's hardly about that. the true theme is about finding your inner desire, your dreams. there are different types of people some have dreams, some has no dream. but one thing that we all have is concern for our future. we stress about how we'll make our parents proud? how will we pay them back for raising us? how will we ever compete in his world? what will the society think or us? are we ever good enough? can we survive? this story portrays the essence of teenage, the young age where both our heart and mind are unsure and anxious. we take decisions we later regret, we might think we can do it but fail even after countless attempts. I TOLD SUNSET ABOUT YOU talks about the innocence, dedication and feeling about two young boys who were friends, rival, companion, lover and also each other's biggest competition as well as supporter. it depicts the anxiety, depression, sadness, heartbreak, confusion, and regret one might feel in the course of life. and how stressful it can be for a person to overcome one's own demon and fight to survive in the world. Doesn't matter how better your family is, at the end everyone have their own battles to fight.
In my opinion, it is one of the most amazing and thrilling movie ever!!! I've seen a bunch of thrillers before but none of them were as satisfying ... This movie will literally turn you into a crazy person... The screen play is so well defined ..... And the suspense starts from the very first scene and last till the very end. This movie not just gives you goosebump but will make forget how to even breathe. This movie was such a masterpiece! It was so well portrayed by the cast park shin ye and jun Jong seo ! Each and every emotion and expression lures you into the movie as if you are standing right there in the scene. And the director lee Chung Hyun did his best in the direction! You can never expect what will happen next. And it was great to see park shin ye finally doing projects worth her time. Not just a crying girl ...but an amazing actor!!!
