She’s a child. Her uncle wasn’t really preparing her to be a killer, but to protect herself. That’s why…
I’m pretty sure they already established the basement wasn’t safe because of what that kid did. Also, she went out to look for Pisan and Min Hye. And while it may have not been the wisest move, they still had to set up her meeting the clean up crew. It would hardly have been as dramatic if they came knocking at the underground bunker door. For a kid with minimal training, I wasn’t setting my expectations very high for her. She would have died if it weren’t for her uncles friends and the safeguards he had in place. He never expected her to survive on her own.

Yea me neither. It this is a prequel maybe, but I think I’ll stay away unless they make another season and bring Prim back into it.

I can’t decide whether to watch this or not. The ratings aren’t terrible, but the comments aren’t promising. Everyone seems like they thought it was hyped up too much and started lacking in the later episodes.

Title A Shop for Killers Spoiler
I’m curious why you wouldn’t want a second season. There was no closure on Bale, we don’t know why Jin Man…
Also, the show barely touched on Bale in the present. I feel like the animosity between them really needed to come to a head and be shown, especially since Jin Man lost three family members to o Bale. I do like leaving a little mystery to things, but this is leaving a lot. This is like the big bad guy show down you expect the entire movie and don’t get.

I agree the uncle fought with Bale. But I still would like to see it. And it would fit with the way the show was produced telling in flashbacks what happened with Jin Man while moving forward in the present possibly fighting Babylon. Well, I’m hoping for a second season, and I feel since there is a parent story to this there may be a chance. Hopefully it lives up to the first season.

Maybe it was meant to be a misleading. I was kind of happy she went this totally bad ass, because it would have just seemed to easy. Swing her fumble through this made more sense to me. But towards the end you could see her coming into her own I think and starting to think more clearly and have a better instinct.

How did Ji Ahn manage to get stupider with age? The child and teenage versions of her were clever, brave, assertive,…
Because she is barely a college student and not a trained killer that has never been in a situation with dozens of trained killers attacking her? Or maybe her shooting those bottles with a sling shot should have prepared her. Hence why she needed help from people who were trained:

kinda disappointing that the protect green code policy was never actually implemented by the clients
I was slightly disappointed in that too. While I get that Babylon had the money to hire the killers, it would have been nice to see some back up as they hinted. But we can only have so many protagonist stories to keep track of.

So pissed off with both this uncle and niece tandem,no character development whatsoever. What is the use of code…
The people who shop are killers for hire, they were hired by Babylon. It’s that simple. What do you think their end goal is when it comes to be an assassin? Money. Babylon wanted the shop for money. The killers went after Ji A for money. They aren’t saints. They’ll kill anyone for money.

i am so sorry but like what did you expect? the drama is literally called "A shop for killers" 😭
They devoted entire episodes to character development. You were introduced to a character who got his arm cut off and then six episodes later learned he was friend with Jin Man, his Min Hye, live in Japan, hence his name Honda, had a brother, who went to live with Jin Man, and he was trusted by Jin Man: you also learned in the same episode that Pasin has a family in Thailand and a sick son and that he trained Min Hye. You also learned in that episode that Min Hye was trafficked and Jin Man saved her and he influenced what she became today. You learned that Jung Min is. Psycho who doesn’t care about his friends murder and bullied Ji An as a child. You learned that one of the main characters who Jin Man trusted betrayed him because his family was threatened. How much more evolution do you want? Let’s no mention seeing Ji A grow up and what she went through.

could just have been a movie and it would have been perfect idk
And then you would have known nothing about the characters and would have just had bloody violence.

I believe maybe Jinman confronted him since he showed up bloody and apparently injured and tired. Might've had…
I agree, I think a season 2 from Jin Man’s perspective from after he committed fake suicide. But also like this season. Where it plays with past and present. So maybe we get what happened in the past after the fake suicide, but also more that is happening in the present. Babylon had people hire up, they sent people at the very end. And we don’t know what happened to Pasin and Min Hyun.

My knuckle baby, Honda, deserved better.
Don’t even get me started. I loved him from the beginning and then when we got his back story it hurt even more.

THis is based on a novel, there's no more novels. It's like asking for more Harry Potter movies, there's no more…
Authors sell their rights. Don’t think authors aren’t unhappy with the products of their writings? How do you think shows are completed when the author themselves haven’t completed the novels. Even musicians don’t always have the rights to their own songs.

Strong action drama with a multi-perspective focus - entertaining, exciting and very well acted. I very much hope…
I’m curious why you wouldn’t want a second season. There was no closure on Bale, we don’t know why Jin Man showed up all beat up and why he committed a fake suicide and what happened to Min Hye and Pasin. Those are plot holes to me. It seems like a set up for a second season.

Excellent acting, Great plot, Looking forward to a Season 2. Clearly Bale and Jin Man's story hasnt ended.
Agreed. I’m hoping for a similar layout for a season 2, maybe with some flashbacks to what happened with Jin Man and Bale’s show down, but also what is happening moving forward in the present. Especially since Min Hye and Pasin disappeared.

So many flaws, but still pulled my heartstrings. Solid 8/10. Though I'd say the poster is kinda misleading because…
She’s a child. Her uncle wasn’t really preparing her to be a killer, but to protect herself. That’s why there were other people to help her. Ans why would you want the poster to lead you to what really happens. It is about Jian, but it’s also about the friends and the family who help and even the ones who betray her.
