This drama encouraged me to start watching BL dramas. Mark and Ou Wen are so cute!Any suggestions for the starter?
Sorry that this is so long but I hope it helps!

I haven’t watched this drama yet so I’m not sure what the concept exactly is, but since it is a Taiwanese drama I would recommend We Best Love (S1&S2) as those are also Taiwanese and might be good transition shows. You could then look at some Thai BLs as there’s a LOT of them to choose from. For beginning I would recommend some GMMTV BLs because I feel they are more cute and comedic (ex. 2gether, SOTUS, Tale of a Thousand Stars, Theory of Love, Fish Upon the Sky, etc). Some other channels have what I feel are more mature BLs- not necessarily just sexual but also just more serious concepts and such. You may also want to look at some Chinese censored BLs (The Untamed, Word of Honor, Guardian, Killer and Healer, etc); these don’t explicitly tell you that the 2 males are romantically attracted to each other but the audience can read between the line :) There are also some BLs from Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, but I haven’t watched as many as there’s a smaller list of shows that have been greatly popular. One Japanese BL i would tell you to watch ASAP is Cherry Magic though because let me tell you, this drama raised the standards so high! You can also go to my watched list and see a bunch that I’ve watched and their ratings - 8 is usually ok dramas, below is more on the meh side, and >8 is very good dramas.

Title Immortality
hey can you recommended some bromance drama? i really need that😫🙏
Similar to the immortality genre would be: The Untamed, Word of Honor, Love is More than A Word, and The Yin Yang Master: Dream of Eternity (movie and not really Bromance but has the feels of it) which have been released. There are a handful more upcoming historical bromances.
For other Chinese bromances: Guardian, Killer and Healer, Advance Bravely, SCI, Beloved Enemy, till death tear us apart, Wuliang (short film type and has the Bromance vibe), Precise Shot

This show totally messes with your mind - I loved it for this reason tho lol, like it makes you confuse your sense of right and wrong if you think deeply about what the "negative" characters say (and tbh, that is almost every character). Throughout the drama it felt like the plot was in a scenario where if people had the power to kill others simply based on their own likes and dislike or personal sense of justice, then this is how the world might be - if that makes any sense. Also just wanna mention that I found it interesting as to how basically every character is eventually shown with their whole personality - both good and bad - and we kinda get to decide where we categorize them.
Overall if you're thinking about watching this - go for it! I would say it's more creepy and nerve-wracking than scary, but still probably shouldn't watch it alone in the dark at 2 am like me.... Plus, LDW in all black and long hair is too hot to pass up hehe

I didn't finish it because I saw too many spoilers on insta and youtube that I no longer was too interested in…
While watching (since I was watching off YouTube’s later posts) I also saw a bunch of spoilers and stuff but I continued watching to know the context and I wholeheartedly can say it’s worth it! Even though you may know some of what is going to happen, it only excites you, so I would say wait some time to let the spoilers fade and then try again because it’s very lovable!

Title Guardian
This drama seems boring to me. I don't understand where is the essence that keeps ppl hyped about this. I'm in…
Not sure how much of it you watched, but for sure the plot and most of the cgi stuff is meh/bad but what kept most of us going and rewatching is the not-so-subtle love the main characters had for each other and how well the actors portrayed the emotions. There was no explicit “I love you” bc of censorship but it was sm more than that bc of it. The build up is also kinda slow so maybe skip around some of the boring parts if you still wanna watch?

Unfortunately there are not many drama like this currently, but stay tune for the many upcoming BL adaptations…
I would 10/10 recommend Guardian - although it’s not a wuxia, it still has the magical element (just in modern clothes lol). There’s another censored BL that recently came out and I really liked it (watched it while waiting for WOH updates): Killer and Healer, not a costume drama but set a couple decades ago. For both of them, we know for a fact they’re not just homies.... They both also involve like crime/fighting evil so it’s similar to TU and WOH in that sense. Also for Killer and Healer, there’s a handful of cut scenes that couldn’t pass censorship because they’re too spicy and they’re put on the MGTV Sparkle channel that u can watch later on and fill in the plot.

There’s also this straight cdrama: Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain - I’ve only watched the first few eps but I watched a like ship video and there’s definitely a lot of bromance in the drama so u might want to check that out too

Title The Untamed
I keep thinking abt it. Uhh its so good but idek y i like it so much. The story was just so well written with…
I feel like I went through the same things as you on that nothing seemed to compare to this drama (honestly still probably true) but I did start watching a few historical/wuxia/xianxa style dramas and some of my favorites are: Word of Honor (censored BL/bromance), Eternal love, Eternal Love of Dream, and The Rise of Phoenixes. Another BL/bromance one is: Guardian.

Word of Honor is pretty similar to The Untamed in that it’s also a costume censored BL style drama but the chemistry is a bit more open and you can definitely tell they aren’t just “brothers”. Guardian, I would say, is similar- I felt that there were more scenes where you could tell they loved each other explicitly but still in a censored way if that makes sense?

Eternal Love and Eternal Love of Dream are based in the same universe - EL has 2 couples, through it mainly focuses on the main couple and the 2nd couple is still there but less shown. In ELOD - it makes that 2nd couple from EL become the main couple here and the story just focuses on them. I would recommend watching Eternal Love first so that you can understand the things going on (family lines, how the age system works, who has power, what kinds of issues they deal with, etc). Although the couple that is in both shows is the same, the plot line is slightly changed and enhanced in ELOD (and they get a happier ending) so it’s also worth it to see that.

Rise of Phoenixes was actually a harder watch but I’m practically having withdrawal symptoms rn as I’ve recently finished watching it. This one doesn’t have any magical components to it, it’s a retailer world historical drama but the plot and story is very well crafted - this leads to the 70 episodes amount which made me have to paused sometimes on it. I would say it’s a lot more politically based and the romance is more subtle but it’s definitely present. If you don’t like royal politics too much, I would probably say to skip this drama or watch it and just skip scenes without the leads (which would be a lot of the drama tbh)

Ahhh that’s a long essay type of thing but I hope you might watch some of them and love them as much as I did!!
