on 2nd episode and it feels overrated.. will try again later maybe
honestly the first few episodes are very different from the (so far) rest of the show! if you could make it to episode 3-4 you might like it better, the tone totally shifts
Am I the only one who doesn't like how it suddenly goes from them being one place to another? The cuts and the…
Are you watching on Hulu? cuz I’m pretty sure that black screen happens where Hulu would put commercial breaks, only you don’t see the commercials anymore. I don’t think it’s from the drama itself
Any recommendations for something similar with great suspense?? With Lil to no romance lol
I think worst of evil, bloodhounds, and extracurricular have similar vibes. and there’s a lot of Korean crime/thriller movies and classic gangster films along these lines too
My top recommendations are happines + be melodramatic! both are such great dramas, and i think you'd love the humor in Melo + and the suspense and slight horror-esque (not true horror tho tbh) in happiness.
I have an inkling his friend is evil haha- it seems like maybe he knew the knife guy in the beginning and that could be the real reason he denied getting stabbed?
I also feel like ML’s brother might turn out to be evil but I really hope not it’s be refreshing to have an actual positive brother relationship in a drama ;-;
I’m pretty surprised by the comment section, it seems like ppl aren’t picking up on hints as to the ML’s background? Yes the FL is annoying rn, making assumptions when he barely did anything, and I think he’s just adjusting his behavior to her expectations.
but there seems to be hints so far that he’s not the biological child of his father, and he has some dark trauma he’ll work thru. so many ppl are writing off his character as empty rn, but I feel something else is going on?
Wow. I picked this drama randomly and I think now it’s one of my all time favorites, I loved it so much, watching it was just incredibly fun. Definitely recommend!
I just rewatched this after a few years, thinking it couldn’t possibly be as good as I remember it… but it really was 😭 it’s soooo good, definitely recommend watching it!
I watched this a year ago and I always come back to rewatch parts ;-; I love how it covers a relationship realistically, between a gay couple that has a kid (and the hesitation on jerry's part at first to have a kid). if anyone knows other series like this I'd love to see more of it!
One thing I loooved that a lot of people seemed to hate: the way Mijeong doesn't try to "fix" Gu. You can't fix people. As someone who feels somewhat depressed and broken, Mijeong understood that, and never tried to "fix" him. That's part of what made this show so great to me.
To me this drama is such a masterpiece. I watched it slowly over several months, and at first, it felt too slow to be entertaining. But once I let go of that feeling and started watching it only in moments in my day when I wanted to slow down or watch something more thoughtful, my enjoyment of this drama skyrocketed. If you're going back and forth on whether to watch this, I'd really recommend giving a 2-episode chance and having some patience. It could become a new favorite like it did for me.
As an introvert, I've never felt so seen and understood as I did when watching Mijeong.
Also small note cuz this comment section is so depressing lol: If you don't understand the drama or the relationship, that's fine– it's just not for you. But maybe don't bring down those who did love it? TV is a form of art. You're not going to vibe with everything that's put out, but the things that do resonate with you, REALLY resonate. No need to bash either side, whether you enjoyed the drama or not. It's all personal.
