tbh i think it would have been more interesting if it'd just been a cat/mouse chase with the criminals led by seo in guk + the police with lee do il; the monster plot was a bit boring lol
What's happening with the blackmail at work + others not wanting to work with her cuz she's pregnant is so infuriating and sexist; like that other teacher invaded her privacy + HER MEDICAL HISTORY??? pretty sure that's against the law — if its not addressed/punished in the show i might have to drop it ngl
and not to mention the brother's reaction in the preview omg what right does he have to say anything to her about it???
I saw some ppl saying they didn't like this show cuz they judged it off the first few episodes, and didn't like that Oh Tae was a bully and this was "overlooked" since he had a sad backstory; (mild spoilers ahead:)
That's kinda the point tho. If you watch till the end, the message of the show is aligned with Oh Tae needing to mature and grow up, despite his past.
I really wish we could get a longer version of this drama, it was sooo well done and handled mature and kinda taboo? (maybe not taboo but topics which are typically avoided) topics really well.
contrary to the overall opinion, i really loved this show :,) the people are messy and illogical, just like we are in our own lives. to me that's realistic, not necessarily bad writing/story.
I kept hearing so many things about this show so I decided to watch it, and just can't get behind it at all. The way Nunew + his friend are treated like property is so disturbing to me?? Like their "fiances" have to know where they are, have to know what they're doing (like the scene where Zee makes fun of his friend for not knowing where Diao is, wtf? Ya'll gotta know the whereabouts of your significant other all the time?), and can just say "you have to move in with me now or else" and have it done, like... that's just not it. I saw so much positive stuff about this show I wasn't expecting this, did anyone else feel this way about the couples?
Honestly this became one of my favorite kdramas so fast ;-; I think a lot of people were kinda missing the point of the show-- if you go into it expecting it be horror, you'll be disappointed. Go into it expecting drama, friendship, and an exploration of human morals, and it'll blow you away.
Gaon theory: He was bullied (and either there was an lgbt part to this or not), but his bully is going to reveal that video first and make it seem like Gaon was a bully :, (
everyone is talking about the acting but the story is actually really interesting too :0 I'm going to be watching for the story and to support Hongseok
If you're debating on whether to watch this, give it a try! I wasn't planning on watching it tbh but it's quickly become kind of a favorite... super excited to see where it goes!
