PLEASE, please give this show a chance. don't let these comments influence you too much. it might be a bit slow for some but it's truly a gem. I feel like a lot of people missed the point of this show. Comments are saying that Dan-i forgot her daughter at the end, or that the romance was too slow or off, but it wasn't quite about those things. it's called "ROMANCE is a BONUS BOOK" for a reason. For Dan-i, sure, it gave her happiness, but it wasn't something that she needed to have to be "complete". She wanted to get back to work, not just because she needs to raise her daughter, but because she wanted to find herself again. She didn't want to only be regarded as "a mom" (by people in the show but also by the audience), but as Kang Dan-i, that's why they didn't focus too much on her being a single mom. Women often are only seen as moms/wives/partners and it strips them of their personality, even Dan-i talks about this in the beginning. This isn't about romance per se, this isn't about being a single mom, it's about the struggle of an older woman trying to get back in the workplace after years so she can reclaim who she is or perhaps rediscover herself and just do what she loves doing.
I write this as a child of a woman who also struggled with this an as a person who watched this show twice. You can definitely have a different opinion and point of view than mine tho.
The way people talk about this show in here is so funny. It's like yall never watched anything else in your lives.
Maybe consider the fact that people genuinely liked the series a lot, hence why they comment that way? There's no need to discredit their opinions about it :)
