There has been many dramas with an age gap, the male actor being much older, and it is always an issue that its discussed in the comments. I would say the same comments are said when an age gap between actors is big. Comments like "she looks like his mom" or "he could be her dad" are always said so I don't think you can claim a double standard on this issue.
