I think Yuqi and Lucas may be joining, as this "second" season was intended for them all to reunite since they couldn't make the first part of season 8. The Keep Running Youtube Channel and weibo have also promoted both of them (new pictures, etc.) as well as reuploading clips of both of them in season 7. Hopefully they can join!
I see a lot of people talking about how the Mom could have possibly escaped alive, lived through all these years without anyone recognizing her, and got enough plastic surgery to the point that KMY couldn't have recognized her. I've never personally been too attached to "plot holes" unless they are major, or occur often. I actually really believe that how her Mom made it alive was very irrelevant to the storyline, and didn't need to be explained. This story as a lot of people have said, is about healing, and for KMY to heal, she needed to let go of her Mom, free herself, and if KMY was able to heal without needing to know what exactly happened to her Mom, then I'm fine without knowing either.

Oh, and if anyone could clear this up for me, what was 2018 Jooha and Hye Ja, was that an imagination too? It just felt so real, more real than any other part of the story tbh.
Hi everyone, I don't know if any of the viewers are like me, but I finished this drama in a day. It was on my watchlist for a while, but I wanted to really sit down, watch, and enjoy the story without any breaks (I did this for It's Okay to Not Be Okay too haha), and although I have watched several Korean dramas, I just couldn't really follow (to be fair I did skip throughout each episode), and after I finished, I was just so confused. To me, it felt like the FL and ML were together in 3 different dimensions. I decided to clear up my confusion by searching for a full review of some kind and found this one: https://www.hellokpop.com/review/k-drama-review-the-light-in-your-eyes/, and wooooowwww did this clear up everything. Now I really appreciate this story and will most definitely take a lot away from it. If any of you are confused after watching this story, I definitely recommend this article, and if you haven't watched it, I really hope you find a time to do so! :)
Bai Lu went to a launch party yesterday and when she was interviewed, she said that besides preparing for filming her new drama, she's been preparing for promotion for Love is Sweet, saying it will be coming soon, so I think Sept. 9th is the actual release date! This was for the Ambush x Bvlgari launch party btw. I saw the video on douyin but here are the photos of her in the outfit she wore at the launch party: https://m.weibo.cn/status/4545170635234499?
Anyone know why it's not out or have a release date yet? The trailer has been out for a while. Not sure if this…
There have been multiple speculated release dates, February 14th, then June, and now fanpages are saying this month (probably not going to happen though). Chinese dramas in general don't have given release dates, and even if they do, they are subject to be pushed back/cancelled. Unrequited Love is a drama that is especially unlikely to air, I'd say even this year, due to the other adaption of the same name and story (aired in 2019), having another version come out right after, it's not ideal. So for now, I guess hope for September, but I think thay maybe this will come out in February 2021 (just my prediction).
Hope they don't make the FL character similar here though...
Yeah definitely! I had to skip over a bunch of the FL lead scenes with the ML because how she acted made me super uncomfortable, but the description for this FL seems better, putting her as a more dominant character rather than a "damsel in distress"
People are saying it may release tomorrow (August 29th) and that seems very unlikely, I doubt it would just drop out of nowhere, especially the day before.
I really really hope people stop complaining about this version of Unrequited Love. I recently watched the first version and while I do think it was quite good, I'm really looking forward to this adaption since it's longer, and hopefully that means the ending won't be too rushed like how it was for the 2019 version. The leads are also some of my favorite actors and actresses and I know their portrayal will make this a hit, and bring more attention to this really realistic and holistic story. So please, stop complaining, if you don't want to watch it that's fine, nobody is making you, but let others anticipate and hope for this to come out, thank you thank you.
