ive listened to the ost on loop for about an hour now and i am manifesting and hoping this show would come out…
I've only read some of the original novel, but since OOL hasn't aired yet, these recommendations are mainly just some of my favorite/good dramas(the dramas I watch are all somewhat similar so hopefully they match OOL storyline/vibe), and in no particular order I present: Run On (k-drama, but I really recommend this), Love is Sweet, Unrequited Love, When My Love Blooms (k-drama, I only really like the college couple storyline lol, but you may like it), Where the Lost Ones Go, Lovestruck in the City (also another k-drama but is a mature/adult type-ish of relationship, I'm terrible at describing things ahaha), and Do You Like Brahms (probably my closest pick? not really, but also another k-drama hahaha. the ML and FL are both music students, really loved this one!). In conclusion, I didn't realize how many k-dramas I have watched, but hopefully you don't mind and can maybe find one to watch out of these, or maybe you have watched some of these since they are pretty popular! :)
Sorta off-topic, but I was surprised to find people also looking for the ost for the first trailer (released in early 2019?) and it does appear in the background of some of the episodes. It has no lyrics just an instrumental (I believe violin but I'm not too sure haha) piece. Has anyone been able to find it, and if you could also drop a link, that'd be so amazing!
Okay really dumb question but does anyone know the bgm playing in the trailer? I've heard it quite a few times…
I've asked that before too! Unfortunately I didn't get any answers back, maybe it'll release when the other OST's come out like the bgm for the trailer for 'The Oath of Love'! :)
I think a lot of people are starting to turn on the FL, and I definitely think that while she is taking a really long time to get over him, resulting in her constantly messing with other boys, dating 12 men, hurting them, I can sorta understand why she still has this hope latching on her and his' possible relationship. From her perspective, her relationship with the ML was never just friends, she herself hints that she never saw him as a friend, and when you treat a relationship as more than a friendship, you can't go back to being friends because you never saw them as just a friend, you never even had a friendship with him, it was a relationship for her, a friendship for him. As for the ML leading her on, there are things boys and girls wouldn't do if they were just friends I suppose, such as going out on what is pretty much a date, getting really close near them, pretty protective, and maybe that seems what boy friends and girl friends would do, but I guess even having a boy tell you that you are their best friend, girls wouldn't take it as a friendzone immediately. The ML spent almost all his time with the FL, so it's understandable if the FL thought that the ML liked her.
"Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai are “childhood sweethearts”, but Jiang Jun is in love with someone else"...............................This…
The synopsis is based on the original novel, however this drama only is really similar to the novel in terms of the setting and characters, not the character relationships and I'd even say background, there was a lot of stuff added, changed, and taken away from the novel to the drama. In the novel, DU was Jiang Jun's boss (yes, Yuan Shuai was working at a different company), and DU and Jiang Jun had a sorta of "romantic" relationship/beginning to maybe start liking each other. Yin Zhe, another character, who is not in this drama, was Jiang Jun's boyfriend in college, now ex-boyfriend, and was hired into Jiang Jun's company, working under her. I believe you could say that Jiang Jun and Yin Zhe both loved each other when they were young and dating, but Jiang Jun also had loved Yuan Shuai at the same time. I have yet to finish the novel, but I'd say Jiang Jun may have still had a close relationship with DU, even after starting to date Yuan Shuai, and lingering/remaining feelings for Yin Zhe. But yes, Jiang Jun and Yuan Shuai do end up together in the novel, and probably will in this drama.
is there a irritating female rival for female lead??
Yep! Qiao Na, she's FL's boss and ML's coworker, I wouldn't say she is irritating though, just expresses the same characteristics as a boss, as a person haha. The ML is head over heels for the FL though, so there is very little development between Qiao Na and ML, as of now.
CAN I FANGIRL WITH YA? I JUST WATCHED ENG SUBBED TRAILER AND IM ALREADY SHIPPING THEIR CHARACTERS FOR GOOD *A*…
UGH IKR IM SO EXCITED AND THE NEW TRAILER, THIS IS EVERYTHING, i read the novel (very not PG btw haha), BUT THE STORY IS SO GOOD, super addictive. AHHHH, but yes it will finish airing in a month, so not too bad of a wait, i think if you started a week before the airing of the last few episodes, you should be able to binge it! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! (,:
i watched the first episode but song ah's personality is a bit distracting... can anyone tell me if she grows…
i'd say she is actually really confident, at least in love, but in later ep you can tell that she is also pretty confident as a musician, she is able to deal with those who look down on her really well, she knows what she wants too (putting both her career and herself first), super good at communicating, i really love her in the later episodes!!!!!
Yassss! Idol Producer S4!! Wonder who the other mentors will be. Can't wait to see the rest of the trainees.
Hi, both the vocal and rap instructors have already been announced, but I couldn't find their profiles (if you are a fan of KUN, the lady that was the vocal instructor in Super Idol will be the vocal instructor here, and I'm unfamiliar with the rap mentor so I can't tell you who that is), the show has been confirmed in China (in fact the day of the announcement it was on the hot-search list), I think you can probably look up Idol Producer S4 and there should be news or translations. And yes, can't wait!
is it just me, or is this kind of dragging? I had high expectations for this one but honestly the cast is not…
omg yeah exactly! i was wondering why people said the kiss happened too early on, and then now with the recent episodes, i get why people were frustrated, now the episodes aren't as interesting compared to the first 3. and i totally agree about them all being petty and annoying, i'd say i could maybe tolerate the 2FL and 4ML (LOL sad that the fourth male lead is my favorite), but i pretty much have skipped around these past 7 episodes. like the climax happened, but then after that, there's pretty much no more storyline/build-up.
The translated version is here (still updating):https://www.illanovels.com/p/love-is-sweet.html
And if you can read Mandarin, I read the original novel at: https://www.qishulou.com/dushi/banshimitang/
It will now likely air in December and there will be new cast member. Not sure about Lucas and Yuqi though :(
