Title The Heavenly Idol Spoiler
So the main villain to me so far seems like lord Redrin ,she is using rembrary to get more powers since she already…
i dont think it was love, i think he was blinded by devotion. before it was revealed that she was evil he did think that she had been helping him so it makes sense that he reacted the way he did

Yep, it's so "silly" it's the Number 1 TV Show on Netflix worldwide.
this drama has been silly since episode one. high ratings dont change that.

Again just wanna ask this : why are you invalidating other's feelings?? Like they got offended, so what?? Its…
literally like what is the matter with some people here. if you are not arabic then you have no say in what is and isnt offensive to them. ignorance is not an excuse and they can complain all they want. if it bothers you so much stop logging on here and choosing to read what people have to say.

being ignorant isnt a good excuse and if arabs find this offensive then you have no right to say it wasnt

Me too! I need more reincarnation of lovers kind of dramas. Do you have any recommendations?
- From Now On, Showtime has a very tiny bit of it but i would recommend this drama for the comedy and fantasy, not necessarily the reincarnation aspect
- Chicago Typewriter has a significant portion of it - just beware the love triangle. For most people it is a hit or miss (was personally a miss but you might like it) and the reincarnation plot is set in the 1930s rather than the usual Joseon/Goryeo dynasty
- Hotel del Luna is a beautiful drama with it as well but it's not completely relevant to the leads' relationship
- Extraordinary You is a drama I can 100% recommend and probably my favorite on this list. The past lives aren't shown nearly as much but what is shown is amazing and it's a drama I would recommend you to watch in general if you are interested in fantasy.
- Legend of the Blue Sea has mermaids and reincarnated lovers!
- Tale of the Nine Tailed is darker than most rest on this list but still a good watch for reincarnated lovers
- Abyss is a different kind of reincarnated lovers drama. Not everyone's favorite but it was one of my first and I loved it. It's different from most reincarnated lovers dramas because there is no mystery to their previous relationship - they die, get revived in different bodies then find each other again. Also has a murder mystery.

The discoverer of alcohol was not an Arab, but an Iranian, and his name is Zakaria Razi
the drama wasnt implying that arabs discovered alcohol, it was implying that the FL was the man who distilled arak which eventually inspired the creation of soju when the mongols invaded korea.

please elaborate on what complex emotion FL has to like an under 12 years old as an opposite sex. It will be great…
thank you for being open to discussion!

at this point you are just being stubborn and ignoring explanations. i've explained why honesty wasnt a good option and how she isnt toying/playing/manipulation. all of these things DO imply bad or non innocent intentions by definition! i have also asked what you expect her to do with information she was FORCED to receive.

how is she 'playing' or 'leading him on' when she is very clearly dedicated to him? at no point does it seem like she is just doing it for fun or acting like that on impulse. literally no actual definition of manipulation matches 'leading on someone based on what is known to obtain a certain reaction'. she is using what she knows to hopefully have him *recognize* that she is jieum, NOT to make him fall for her. if manipulation was actually the case she would have hit a book over his head and copied everything jieum did to seoha.

additionally, at the end of episode 5 jieum tells cho won that she was juwon in her past life because cho won also thought that jieum was being manipulative and insincere. if that isnt proof enough that jieum ISNT 'manipulative' and 'leading on' anyone then i dont know what else to say to you.

agreeing with the other person who replied to you, what did you expect her to do with the knowledge? she does not choose to be reborn and to remember her past lives. she says herself in the drama the reason for pursuing the ml is that her previous life mysteriously ended early and that she got reincarnated almost immediately, unlike her previous lives. ofc she would then use her previous knowledge to get close to seoha as it is obvious there was unfinished business between them. also saying she is manipulative and toying is a reach because that would imply she had bad intentions with him or that she had done things/found out the things she did immorally. Seduction is also a reach because she never acts sexually towards him or has non innocent intentions. also i dont agree that what shes doing is insincere bc they are not on the same page. do you know how crazy it would sound if someone in real life told you they were your dead first love in their past life? even if she had been honest and tried to tell seoha, they still wouldnt be on the same page. seoha would look at her as crazy and be scared. he would view her as a stalker for knowing what she did, not be relieved. she didnt have the option of clearing the air about herself.

like i said it was childish emotions she felt as a child to want to marry him. this is not the first child ive seen in a drama ask an older girl or boy to marry them or tell one that they would grow up well so they could get married. this happens irl as well. i cannot stress enough that although her soul is old, she still has the emotions, hormones and thought processes of a child and thats why i included the examples i did. she was a child asking that in a very innocent, childish way. the only thing that transfers from one body to the next is memories, not maturity.

I think the writer mixed up between the inventor of alcohol (Chinese) and coffee (Arabs).
im gonna copy and paste this from wiki since i cant say i knew this before watching the drama. "The origin of soju dates back to the 13th century Goryeo, when the Levantine distilling technique was introduced to the Korean Peninsula during the Mongol invasions of Korea (1231–1259), by the Yuan Mongols who had acquired the technique of distilling arak from the Persians during their invasions of the Levant, Anatolia, and Persia." i think it was showing that the fl was supposed to be the man that first distilled arak that eventually inspired soju, not necessarily that arabs invented alcohol or soju in particular

She does not love him when he is 8 and she is 12, she says so herself that her fascination with him is not bc of love but bc he makes her feel like she is her actual age and makes her want to live- rather than someone that has begrudgingly and consciously lived hundreds of years. i would say her complex emotions are the ones that mix up the emotions of the physical child she was when she met him and the emotions of a soul thats been alive for a much longer time. When child ban ji eum is upset at her brother taking her money, she reacts like any other child her age. yoon ju won also acted like a child when playing and messing with seoha. even though her soul is old, she is clearly being affected by the natural behaviors and hormones that all other children do. shes never claimed to love him and especially as a child never claimed to like him romantically. people are just picking and choosing which parts to understand/misunderstand without actually paying attention to the whole story

if ur on episode five and u still think the fl is a creepy pedo just stop watching cause its obvious youll never understand her complex emotions or the story at all. it doesnt require a lot of critical thinking skills to understand and just reading the subtitles would resolve ur concerns about it.

Question: Why cant she tell him shes Ju Won? I mean irl, it could be unthinkable and impossible but hes inlove…
bc theyre trying to be realistic and it is unthinkable and impossible. if she told them they would all look at her like she was crazy and get scared by her.
