If anyone is able to, could you please react nicely to this article about this drama? There are a lot of bad reactions…
I have also just reacted to all the articles by clicking on the icon of the little bear with the two heart eyes. 💕

Title Bite Me
I was looking forward to this episode as last weeks seemed to have set it up for a good ending. But first 10-15…
I'm bawling. I was absolutely transfixed looking at that elbow.

Title Black Summer Spoiler
He didn't end with him so is it considering a sad ending???At the end he's alone watching all video of themselves
I'm afraid Ji Hyeon has committed suicide. If you watch the beginning of the film again, you will realize it. You see how Ji Hyeon wakes up in the morning and says he's going to buy noodles. The next scene is of his friends dressed for a funeral, and Geon Woo apologizes to Ji Hyeon's girlfriend, getting a slap in the face. Then the scene takes place in the apartment, in which the friends talk among themselves about the need to tell someone's parents what happened (they refer to Ji Hyeon's parents), and they wonder what to do with his things (you can see how they put on the table the boxes in which Ji Hyeon used to put the notes he wrote). That is, the scene at the beginning of the movie, where you see Ji Hyeon leaving the apartment to go buy noodles, is just the morning after the night when his roommates tell him to leave the apartment because they basically consider him a rapist (remember that he decides to take the blame for what happened between him and Geon Woo, he tells them that he forced Geon Woo, to avoid Geon Woo suffering humiliation for being gay).
In this website there is an article explaining the plot of the film and indicating the suicide: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/black-summer-film-review-filmart-2018-1095399

Dropped; the character of Meng Fei was just so damn annoying that I could not be bothered to continue this.
The truth is that I'm finding it quite difficult to bear that character. He's not funny, he's not attractive, the hairstyle they've put on him looks like a joke, he's annoying, repetitive, vulgar when he dresses and even more vulgar when he eats. I don't understand anything, I don't understand how someone came up with the idea of putting this actor as the main character or how someone thought that a character with that personality could be credible when trying to make someone like Tang Yi fall in love. On the other hand, the actor who plays Jack (Andy Bian) is charming, has a beautiful smile and is really attractive. I would have loved to see him play the role of Meng Fei.

Watching this movie 8 years after its release... MAJOR SPOILER PLEASE DON’T READ: this is so disappointing.…
Wow! Thank you very much for the warning, I'm completely and absolutely sick of sad endings. Sad endings are synonymous with art, some say? WTF? I refuse to watch this movie, it's not at all healthy for the brain or the mood to be self-flagelating watching things that put you in a depressive state. I want smiles and hope. And that's it.

Definitely the time period for this special is in the middle of their relationship.
Lee Kay Yong is right. I just finished the novel, this happens after the part that the series shows. The series is unfinished, there's still a lot, a lot of history left in the novel. They end up living happily together. In fact, this special episode corresponds to one of the extra chapters in the novel.
