So basically, Young Ro was just cranky for coffee the whole time?

Okay, hold up. Drinking magic-coffee does not make the relationship any *less* unacceptable. [They are cute though.]Ps.…
Actually, the kiss won't taste bitter unless Young Ro is keeping the coffee in her mouth. The reason Coffee taste bitter is because it activates the bitter parts of our tongue, and thus we taste it as bitter.

During their fish kiss, the smell of coffee in her breath can actually act as a natural aphrodisiac. Coffee has that warm, cacao like smell, that may actually entice the recipient of the kiss.

Boon Ok is life.
I agree, with very limited screen time, she manages to have the most compelling characterization.

well just how should i define young ro? i wanted to say doormat but she wasnt exactly like that. but seriously…
Just to remind, in 1987, the patriarchy in SK is at an all time high. Women are not respected very well in the workforce. It is possible that the grandmother of Young Ro, raised her to be very forgiving of the men in their lives.

So it's not Young Ro's fault but the fault of the patriarchal system in South Korea that made women feel they do not deserve upstanding men.

Young Ro is a goldfish confirmed.

1. She has a short term memory of 3 episodes. She doesn't remember what happens in the first few episodes.

2.She kisses like one.

Case closed.

South Korea has an abundance of Fried Chicken, and all the Ramyun you can eat for cheap.

And your telling me Soo Ho, Eun Cheol and Gyeok Chan wants to go back to North Korea to eat sweet potatoes?

The reason Young Ro pulls back when Soo Ho comes in for the kiss is Soo Ho's breath taste like days old Ramyun.

Kudos to Young Ro for holding on.

doesn't matter at this point. Even if they were, the "plot surprises" thus far have been relatively weak and tame.

A. Well Kang Moo is an idiot, so it doesn't take much to bluff him.
