Except Soo Ho knows Nam Tae Il's voice since he's spoken to him several times over the phone, which makes it believable
The rationale in Snowdrop between the characters have all felt kind of weak and illogical. I don't even know what Soo Ho's real plan or needs are, he literally keeps changing every few episodes.
Honestly don't get why you are all hating on Boon Ok for putting a gun on Young Ro, So Hoo did a few times and…
Honestly, Kim Hye Hoon's acting really sold that scene, she was the central character in that scene. It was so raw, and made me really get invested in her story. And Gyeok Chan's comforting words?
Omo! My heart ache watching Gyeok Chan and Boon Ok sharing a room!

There is conflicting information coming left and right. And the one whispering sweet nothings to you is an enemy of the state.
It seems to me, Soo Ho wanted to defect, but couldn't find the reason to. He was begging for a reason.
If Eun Chang So had said it. It would bear more weight. But Nam Tae il is an idiot, and a boisterous one who says a lot of things he doesn't mean. And Kang and Soo Ho both knows this. It's weird that the guy who blusters his way to his position is suddenly considered a reliable source.
Agreed, however he has been away for quite a while. We know that he was in Germany as well.
Germany BTW at this time is very close to be unifying. So radicalism is at an all time high in 1987.
Still, why is he so surprise that his country is wiling to sacrifice them for money? US have gone to war, and sacrificed hundreds if not thousands of their military soldiers for a war that isn't even theirs?
It's just so weird to hear his rationale, specially in the modern landscape. Soo Ho is pretty dang naïve to be a field officer IMO.
I feel that even with our FL's POV, I don't pity her. But if the drama were to be re-written from Boon Ok's POV, it would be easy to see her as a tragic hero.
That's what makes her character probably the strongest and most interesting one in the drama.
Ms. Pi, initially I thought had depth. But then I realize, she's just kinda psychotic.
For me, book ok is the most consistent character of snowdrop and I totally understand the fact that she's only…
Honestly, I am watching EP. 11 right now, and the face she makes, when she finally realizes she is with people who value her, really touches the heart.

Only relatable one has been Boon Ok's IMO.
Don't forget the party themselves betrayed the father, what does he owe the party at this point?
Boon Ok is life!
Boon Ok is a highly complex character. They cannot be compared.
Yoon In Na not far behind though.
Jung Hae In 3rd.
Then the rest are kind of the same. Jang Seung Jo deserves something for best comedy actor.

But if my thesis softens your stance even the tiniest bit towards Boon Ok, then I feel I have accomplished my mission.
