Each and every shard is interesting characters. The mortal arc is so much fun. It's kinda sad to see that she is dating them all and they all fell deeply for her, probably will be heartbroken if they find out. Even though they're all parts of Youqin, we could see 3 different persons here.
CXX's brilliant portrayal for all characters is remarkable.

I think so too. Second cp has many screen times. And their story has also more depths and better written.

I don't know about the long ballad, haven't watched that one yet. But here I think in some episodes, the main cp has less screen times together. I hope it changes when the story get progress.

At the beginning in ep 1, if I am not wrong, their father (heavenly emperor) initially planned for Qingheng to send for trainings to repair Guixu, since YouQin is the crown prince, the successor. But YouQin chose to go instead since his bro is too young. I thought he is not always that weak, but has no desire for throne..

Agree. What is ML even doing as individually? We don't see him doing a thing besides being marrried with Tan. There is no villains, challenges for him. His background story is just being socially awkward. I am kinda disappointed. I will wait and see more episodes.
