I enjoyed the first episode. The plot went pretty fast imo for a premiere episode but I rather have that than a slow episode. I think whatever happens with the writing it’s going to be the characters/actors that carry the drama. Jcw and kyj have amazing chemistry despite their age gap. The two leads did a great job with their portrayal. I hope we get some good character development.

It's because it hard to see much of the plot, like ok so they both had an cigarette incident, but how does that…
The cigarette incident is important bc that's how they first meet and it sets up the plot but the story doesn't actually start until they meet again 3 years later. MMS's writing and lack of plot is its own problem. Most people agree that there was potential for a really great story if the writer knew what she was doing. But she and the directer fumbled the bag and what we got was a pile of trash. I get being wary of BR bc tbh I am too but it get's annoying when people act like this drama is some sort of sequel to MMS and projecting all the failures of that drama onto this one. They have nothing to do with each other. BR is a slice of life romcom so the plot isn't going to be anything complex. I also hope this drama turns out well bc like you I also love jcw and want him in something great!

Take a shot every time someone mentions Melting me softly in relation to this drama. You’ll die of alcohol poisoning real fast. No but seriously when will people stop holding MMS over JCW’s head? Like we get it that drama was terrible but can we all move on already bc JCW sure has! BR doesn’t even have the same writer or pd and is based on a webtoon so I’m confused as to why this previous drama is constantly being brought up when discussing how BR will turn out?
