Hi! Super late reply, but I would watch Advisor's Alliance (2 seasons) and Winter Begonia, then skim the rest of his dramas for his screentime because they're not really worth the time. His acting doesn't disappoint, it's just usually the script is very subpar and he's stuck in an SML or very small role. Are You Safe is also airing right now and he has a good amount of scenes, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to someone who's not his fan..

Ep 1 was okay, will continue to watch until some of my favorite actors show up, I feel like 30 mins an ep is too…
It’s barely a “plot”, this is a biopic so the characters you’re watching span over century long period looking at the growth of communism in China. They’re not going to be all connected to one another and tbh unless you grew up learning Chinese history or know a lot about it I doubt you’ll know who most of these people are.

I'm surprised this drama's rating is so low. It's a nice slow-burn romance with revenge plot that's pretty well written with decent acting from both leads?? Besides some plotholes that can be overlooked there's not much to complain about so far. I'm really enjoying the pacing.

Personally....for me and most of danmei fans I know there is no problem with this casting. I don't think at this point most international fans care who got casted before and they think feiyu is a good fit. It's not like CQL/MDZS fans didn't have their share of drama before the actual drama aired. IF you're talking about the chinese fandom ....then every one of those fans in any fandom are just as crazy, it's not just for this novel or adaptation and if you're on weibo enough you would know.
