𤣠I thought i could convince myself that Pheem remained in the hospital for a good amount of time until he…
...I tried to convince myself of the same thing, BUT then they showed him going to the doctor AFTER the fun times with Than... ^^ When doctor Nit said "no signs of infections" I was like: how can this be, this man had the fun of his life these last two days doing outings and games with Than with a hole in his abdomen... sigh. XD
Maybe we should live with a "Love heals everything" motto! XD
I think completely differently. This was not their first kiss or a random moment. From episode 1, their eyes were…
Iām sorry, I probably didnāt explain myself well. What Iām saying itās not that their relationship feels rushed, because itās probably the only thing that they are doing well (and with ātheyā, I donāt mean our boys, because I had no doubt they could manage to make any relationship in a drama feel real). what I mean is ārealisticā in terms of practical execution: People donāt just get shot and go on dates the day after⦠Not to mention the fact that he got shot on one side, but the patch is on the other side⦠they drink wine in a single sip as if it were water⦠they start a scene at night and a second later the same scene is day⦠and so on. all of these scenic mistakes make the final result feel sloppy.
And itās a pity, because as someone said in an earlier comment, COL raised the bar so much.
Sigh. I was so hyped for this drama, and I do think both Offroad and Ou are giving it their all and they look absolutely stunning and their acting is great, but... there are so many problems with the writing, the scenes, even the dialogues... ep6 was really terrible in terms of execution, it felt like it was a roundup of scenes lacking connection.
The whole "you get shot and are almost dead yet the day after you're home drinking wine and having sex and going dates" is the laziest and goofiest writing I've ever seen.
I'm a huge Ou&OR fan but this is definitely not their best project. T_T
I think we can officially say that the tag for "worst father ever" for 2025 goes to Thailand... between this drama and Love in the Moonlight, I'm starting to wish all BL leads were orphans...
Gong Jun in red clothes as Wen Ke Xing in WOH was also stunning, I think that dress is one of my favourites ever!
If you haven't and you like GJ, he gave an impressive acting performance with his character in WOH (plus he looks great in all the costumes, so it's def a must-watch! XD)
is The Blood of Youth and Dashing youth connected to this , do I have to wtach those before watching this ?
It's a trilogy and Blood River is in the middle - honestly I've finished TBOY (which is the third arc) and haven't seen DY yet, but I wished I had started with DY since that's chronologically the first one and many characters appear as their younger self in there (although each series can stand alone).
I'm really loving this and all its characters, but I'm kinda struggling with the action scenes... it reminds me more of a marvel superhero series than a martial artist drama (but with cringer cgi). Anyway, as I expected I'm completely invested in MuYu and ChangHe ideals, crusade and dynamics.
Aaaaaand now with the benders we'll also get the zombies! This series has them all! XD
PS, that was the dumbest "hard training" ever seen, running along some tires and doing arm wrestling? XD ...although Khao/Wat wrestling moment was more of a romantic session :D
PPS, the two leads are actually doing their job pretty well (AND they both rank among the first ten in the "men with most sparkling eyes" list! ^^)
Argh - seeing that Fluke is the first profile in the cast I thought he had another main lead but he's just a supporting character... I miss him so much!
This series was really DONE RIGHT: the directing was great and the cinematography was excellent, the actors owned their characters despite being young and having little to no experience, the OST had some great songs in it and the story was entertaining and filled with twists!
It was a great example of how a BL can have a story and follow it, while also having some BL elements and meaningful romantic/intimate scenes between the characters that add something to the episode instead of just being fanservice.
10/10 for me, I need more of these dramas with a story!
PS.: and obviously, I need to state the fact that Keng is the finest man in 2025's thai BL stars' rooster... I just can't come to terms with how goodlooking this man is.
Finished, and I swear I hadn't watched something so enthralling in ages! I've been watching dramas since the end of the 90's and rarely I was so seated for a story! It's incredible they managed to keep the feels for 40 episodes: there was no pause, no dull moment, no meaningless event.
If I could rate it 11/10, I would! And I loved the ending too, it was how it was meant to be. I will rewatch it for sure in the future, and I'll stay tuned for S2!
Holy simoly was this a rollercoaster! 9/10 for me. I loved it, I really enjoyed every second of the dramatic dramaticness it had, and Pearl/Peak were great... BUT there were also quite few plot/lazywriting/dialogue issues.
Last episode felt ENDLESS and when we finally arrived to the actual end, I was like: "what? it can't just finish like this!". Somehow so many things happened in the last couple of episodes that having only five minutes of happiness wasn't enough... and yes, I'll be honest: I was expecting at least a Pin/Sanya moment (I loved Sanya!) and much more drama on Prince Kamfah side.
Basically, if they told Granma they were in love directly without running all those ups and downs, the drama would have finished in 4 episodes instead of 12. ^^' Maybe that was why she acted like a wax statue for the whole drama.... otherwise we wouldn't reach 12 episode.
I'm so torn with this series - the story is great AND the actors are so beautiful (also, the two leads are actually acting pretty well!)... the OST is mesmerizing too (the sounds effects are pretty meh). BUT the execution is so messy, I understand they probably didn't have any budget but the different scenes just happen without any smooth transition, I kinda feel frustrated.
And why is Khunkao always pushing Siwat? Poor Siwat is the most good looking human on earth (for real, this boy's face is perfect!), how can you even think about hurting him! T_T
Anyway, despite the flaws, I'm hooked and can't wait to see how things will turn out!

Such a great watch!
