I'm usually not into medical stuff, but this drama just gets better at every episode: not a single wasted moment, I'm loving it just like I loved Manner of Death! Hopefully we can get more of these stories written by Sammon, maybe in the same "universe" with cameo moments just like it happened with MaxTul... these series mix so well action, suspance, romance, character development, medical, social issues....
I really hope BLs standard can get better and better, just like with this, and KinnPorsche, MoD, Not Me...
We've seen much worse BLs in the last years, so I keep watching because all in all I like Khluen's character and I think Joong is doing a decent job in portraying his role... i loved how he switched to "fluffy" in this last episode! <3 But Dao is definitely a huge NO! for me, his character seems to be a bipolar dramaqueen... ^^'
I'm really finding the music of this series irritating: I understand they want to make a bit of angst when maxing the volume up, but it's just too much... a better evolution/telling of the story would be enough for that, instead of having 2mins of max volume before "something" (predictable) happens.
I love Sanya/Tua but just can't get attached to Prakarn... instead, Keeta/Natee would have been a nice couple! And still thinking that Yacht is doing a great job there, even tho his character doesn't fit him at all.
Out of curiosity: is Max Lin (Zheng Ze Shou) the brother of Sam Lin, the actor playing Gao Shi De in We Best Love? o.o
This drama is getting more addictive every week, Fu Li Gong's looks are just TOO cute and I'm really hurting for him. But I kinda can't stand the second couple, and I really can't see how they'll make it last for 12 episodes...
This reminds me so much of 2gether, BUT with the kisses. XD
I wasn't expecting much from it but I'm surprised at how fun, cute and fluffy this drama is... I'm really liking Khluen's character - he's very introvert and calm but his eyes and soft smiles tell everything, plus the actor voice when he speaks softly has such a deep beautiful tone... :D I'm also liking Phoon, the actor is SO goodlooking and his smile is dazzling!
As for Daonuea... well, the guy is doing a huge drama because he was rejected (in a very elegant, polite and gentle way!) by a guy with whom he practically never even spoke... it feels a bit too much to cry and be so desperate over it, especially after one whole year... Plus, I find the actor to be pretty stiff and irritating... but hopefully he'll get better.
All in all it's a worth watch between more serious titles!
Sooooo I can't decide what to think about this one: I really like the two main leads, Yuki has the coolest hair and vibe a bartender can have, I like the "adult/office" mood but it just feels SOOOOOOOO slow! An episode lasts 25mins but it feels like an hour....
Ep7 was a rollercoaster of well-done moments AND boring trite cliches: I must admit Prakarn had me in tears this time (his pain and loss felt really vivid and deep), but he also bored me to death with his childish and trite behaviours.
Once again: so much potential in this story, but sadly also too much banality.
(I would have loved for Yacht to act Prakan's role and Nut to star as Metha: I think Yacht would have been a better "childish" doc, since basically Prakan acts as a trainee most of the time...)
After watching the preview for ep.7 I'm starting to think that Prakarn must be bipolar. The fact that he changes idea so fast (and with NO reason) about Tuaphee's job of being a soul reaper (with more feelings than him, I would add...) is really getting on my nerves.
I'm a big fan of Yamada Takayuki, so I've first noticed her in "Crying out love in the centre of the world" maaaaany years ago! She has been doing better and better ever since, with many great titles and different roles. Definitely an actress that brings value to any drama she stars in!
23rd rewatch of the last seconds of the third episode: probably one of the best and most natural kiss scenes in a BL ever. How the music came in, and then faded, and then came in back again was amazing. Kinn/Mile looked as he was really mesmerized and attracted by Porsche/Apo, I really really loved it. Can't wait for ep.4!
What a great movie! It felt just a little bit too long but never boring, great acting and cinematography! For me it was painful and yet soothing at the same time: the two main characters, but also the side ones, were all so real and I was totally invested in their story, growth, inner voyage... I rooted for Otomo to find his true self and for Imagase to start loving himself more, and I loved how the plot moved in time hinting at many things but yet not being overly descriptive. Great chemistry from the two leads, they didn't look "forced" at all. Clap clap!
I didn't know if to laugh or to cry while reading your review because it's basically what I felt from episode 1 to episode 8, in an excalation going from: 1. looks crazy but maybe it'll get better, plus Chap&Green so i'll watch 2. seems crazier but the boys are looking great 3. errrrr...? 4. what? really? 5. ahahahahah c'mon, that's nonsense! 6. ok, I love you guys but this sucks 7. again, what? 8. AHAHAHAHAH holy moly AHAHAHAHA
I just can't stop laughing at this. Thanks God it's over... and I wonder: how can an actor agree to act in something this stupid? Don't they read the script before filming? Didn't anyone say something about how stupid, cringe, meaningless, terrible, nonsensical and bad (and so much worse) the whole thing was?
I just can't believe Chap&Green didn't have something better to do than star in a similar project.
This was so unexpected! So beautiful: relatable, raw, well acted and well filmed! It didn't feel rushed at all, even with the short screen time... recommended and I'll definitely rewatch it too!
The energy and chemistry is in the original story (manhwa) and it wasn't plain at all, but they they tried to…
Unfortunately I haven't read the manhwa so I can't and I won't say anything about the original story. The point is that a drama should work and stand "alone", and be able to transmit certain emotions/vibes by itself, and not by the "memory" of a manhwa.
I found CBAW to be cute, light, bloomy... I liked how the actors portrayed both of their roles, too, even tho' I didn't get any love-sparkles between them. But it didn't get me invested in the story nor in the relationship between the leads.
You're probably right in saying that they tried to squeeze too much in too little screen time.
I really hope BLs standard can get better and better, just like with this, and KinnPorsche, MoD, Not Me...

Typhoon is hands down my favourite character! :D
