Yes, AiB was more emotional for me, because I got atttached to the characters, but unlike you I won't try to convince anyone to my opinion. So yeah, I'll stop here.

Predictability makes MOST of the films bad for me, especially survival games, because I do not watch productions to get bored once I figure out the plot. I do agree that the journey matters, but that's exactly why I want it to be surprising and emotional, something I can actually learn from during said journey. In this case I learned nothing.

I did not really have any expectations for this drama, but I saw a lot of people online comparing it to Alice in Borderlands and I gotta say it's NOTHING like AiB. The only thing in common is the 'survival game' motive and that's about it. Squid Game is way more predictable and has the biggest problem I generally have with korean dramas - unnecessary too long scenes. It's a good watch overall, and I don't regret the time spent on this, but I kinda hope there either won't be a season 2 or at least they step up a notch and will actually make it surprising.
