This how I envision the ending after ep. 40. There are 2 reasons why I firmly believe this is how it will happen.
1) Emperor Tun has to still be alive when his daughters are revived.
2) CF & YQ have suffered enough. They should have to wait long for their spouses to return.
So the ending. after a few months of CF & YQ feeding the twin flower, the flower continues to grow & one day, the flower blooms & there is a magic spark & the flower drops & transforms into QK & YT.

1. QK vs. Wudai! Sis did not need any help from CF. She overpowered on her own! Tell me all your thoughts. Is this the ep. that made you love Wudai?
2. Thoughts on YQ breaking his promise to her? Was YT right in pestering him to remove the Iridescent Eyes?
3. QK vs green CF! He definitely deserved that right?!!

I’m in love with TSL too & it’s difficult to compare the 2. I will say that TSL & LBFAD are the only 2 xianxias that i have watched without skipping any scenes.
There is a love triangle, but once the 2nd ML is rejected, he steps aside gracefully. He’s pretty awesome.
FL starts off as young and naive but her character growth is worth watching.
Dongfang Qingcang and Shandian Youqin have 1 similar trait: once they realize that they are in love, they will do everything to protect the woman they love.

Yes, YQ taking YT’s punishment! Such a pivotal moment. Had YQ had his emotions, he might have realized he was in love with her.

I asked that question about QK because I think she wanted to stay for CF. Her reasons to stay where they were valid.
I especially laughed at the part wheee Fei Chi was trying to teach YQ how to hawk for food.

I was thinking at the time that CF had a lot of work to do before he could deserve QK.

The starvation is what makes it so hard to forgive the emperor. She could have died!

It was so cute when it bounced. YT is lively in any form.

Ditto. I’m watching it for Bai Lu & Yu Yunxi. Honestly, when I found out about the project, I wished they picked something else, lol. I wanted a lighthearted costume drama. So, I’ve been preparing myself for the angst, the misunderstandings, and the copious amounts of blood coughing (as seen in the trailer).

Not only am I re-watching, but I’m also re-reading some the informative and insightful and comments here.

Upon re-watch , I feel the same. This how I picture their married life. They continue to be playful and sweet, no matter what obstacles they face because they are facing it together.
