Surprised to see the rating HAS GONE DOWN! WHY!!!!! I would rate TTEOTM with a 100 points if that was available.
I agree with you, it is painful to rewatch, though I have rewatched this more than 5x, no kidding. Didn't have any mental health issues but now I know I have some problems because I just cannot let go, still can't and the pain still persists. My friends try to console me by saying it's just make-believe, but still the story had such a big impact to so many of us I know that a lot of other people are struggling in their own ways too. From the storyline, to the impeccable acting from all actors and actresses, to the magnificent sets, to the grand and beautiful costumes, haunting OSTs, I cannot hate this drama at all. In fact, I love it so much.
So I have told my friends, who want to watch it in Netflix, to keep an open mind and accept the fate, to not judge and complain, and also to have tissues and ice cubes ready.
TTEOTM was a beautiful masterpiece. It may have some flaws but no drama is ever so perfect. The ending, I had hoped for it to be a HEA, but after much thought, I believe this ending made the most sense, considering gods do not reincarnate or be reborn. Nonetheless, the ending gutted me, devastated and damaged me emotionally beyond repair, and I will need some time to recuperate and recharge.
