Bro in the early episodes she was hoping her dad would come to save her. And when did she thought her dad died. I don't remember that. I remember her saying that she hopes that her dad is fine. And at the same moment her dad got kind of shot while escaping. And i also remember her saying in almost every episode later that nobody will come to help her.

yeah she keeps on crying that her dad will come to rescue her. Which even lead to his death.

And finally the brocode lives as Soo Ho calls Kang Moo hyung and asks him to take Young Ro with her. In the end we get a tape from Soo Ho in which he confesses his love for Young Ro. Some 'your lie in April' type of farewell. Which would have hit the mark according to me if it was a letter written on a paper plane.
