I never thought I can laugh and cry just because watching high school students drama... It's been so long since I was in high school, but this drama is waking up my memory about those good old days to be spent with friends.. Those hectic yet fun life with exams, homeworks, cram school, also school events.. Get ready to feel nostalgic because this drama will bring us back to year 2007 with many memorable things such as flip phone, ringtones, sms, mp4, handycam, bicycle, Jay Chou's era, diary, etc
By watching this drama, we will learn the true meaning of family, friendship, and love... all in 1 lovely package as being mentioned in the drama title. The story probably could be longer.. but it will lose its own beauty.. so I think 16 eps is good enough to describe the lovely youth. Each episode has its own theme, and it's totally meaningful. In the end of the story.. we will learn that love can be ended well or remain in friend zone too. However, the togetherness as childhood friends still remain strong no matter what. I'm grateful to watch this drama. It's inspire me to respect more about the role of parents and friends in life :) It's worth watching. I bet you will be in tears and smile as well.

At first the SFL still hoping to get back with SML. Then, they will get back together with steamy kiss scene in ep 25, but soon they break up again in ep 26 with the same old reason from the previous broke up, then.. it's the SML turn to catch the SFL's heart, and slowly but sure their relationship become better in each episode after that, and officially get back together with married intention since ep 33.
Still can't move on from this drama. I never find this drama is boring.. it's totally funny, cute and sweet.. the more you watch, the more you will find out that this drama is very detail. From the props, setting, wardrobe, online chat, etc.. if you look at MOONLIGHT's weibo account.. there are some snap shots about the details in the drama scenes like the book that each character read in several scenes, Chu Li's accessories, the book launch event, and so on. I feel less tension to watch this drama because of the fresh idea of story between author and editor, the chemistry between 2 main couple, also the friendship between the boys, and their typical character just like a dog and cat. For me.. Esther Yu is very suitable to play the role as Chu Li, also Ryan Ding as Zhou Chuan. It's a heartwarming love story between fox and monkey!
Best drama ever. I rewatch it for 10x already... help! I'm addicted! I love all the 2 couple leads.. and it is so funny, refreshing and cute! Zhou Chuan is so childish but reliable.. and trust me.. he is a boyfriend / husband material with his loyalty and everlasting love to 1 girl.

Agree. I know Esther Yu for a year now.. her cute voice is actually become her unique point and her strength. She did well to potray Chu Li, and of course Er Gou and Zhou Chuan are also cute to live under 1 roof with her even with their own unique voices too.. hehe ;)

The another reason I watch this drama is because I love Actor Ryan Ding and Actress Esther Yu as the main couple!! They are perfectly match to potray the characters that described in the original novel. Love the sweet drama ost (main song) entitled "Here's Chu Li" by The 9 Esther Yu as well. Hello.. sure, I'll answer it based on my opinion after re-watch this drama several times.
1) Male lead will end up with his first love: Jae Hee. The one that struggling a lot just to be with him with blood and tears. After what they've been through, they still maintain to love each other.
2) In my opinion.. it's not that heavy since this drama is more about medical & romance. But still.. the main problem is related with political thing. But I think it's not that confusing.
3) Male lead and people around him. At the begining, male lead is being used and threatened by North Korea government to do some operations that actually using body parts or organ of certain people, in order to save others due to political objective. Basically he kill (sacrificing) so many people to protect himselves and his beloved ones. But later on.. male lead learn to be a good doctor who want to save people with all he might.
4) Happy ending ;) It's not a perfect ending but theending is fairly executed for the goodness of everyone. They finally can get their freedom to chase after their dream and love.
Wow just realize that Ryan Ding is always be the main role in all of his drama and movies. What a lucky guy with great acting skill. He is all package with handsome visual, nice personality and acting! I can't wait to see his drama with Esther Yu. It's gonna be the cutest one.

Sorry for my late response. The male lead start to feel jealous and affraid to lose female lead in episode 14-15. Then, they start dating in real from episode 16. Yeah there will be a break up scene.. but it’s getting exciting after that. Don’t worry.. no third wheel after all. It’s totally lovey dovey couple.
The most exciting medical romance drama ever! I watched it several years ago.. I love the story line and also all the main leads. I don’t know why so many people dont like Jin Se Yeon.. but I like her acting thou. She is beautiful, she may not that perfect but she is successfully convey the message as a hostage that willing to sacrifice everything to be with her boyfriend and to get freedom. I watch this drama like 4x and I never get bored. It’s about how politics can be as scary as it can threaten your life, and change your fate to be an evil too. The romance is very dramatic, and I love how Park Hoon stay loyal with his first love, since both is truly love each other eventhough need to sell their soul to the evil. The heart beat couple win my heart! P.S. The beautiful drama ost is totally make the story more dramatic and very emotional. Love it!
At first the story is very unique and interesting. I'm so excited to see how they can develop romance, fantasy and action concept in 1 story between 2 worlds. Like first half of the episodes are making you want to see the story development more and more, especially after Kang Chul realize he just a comic character, and then magically go to the real world to throw his anger to the author as he can’t accept the fact that his life is just a fiction. That's very unpredictable! What an awesome plot! But then, second half of the story become too messy. It’s like the drama change their script writer or what.. but I feel lost. It’s all begin after the evil father has appeared as a super villain character in episode 10. The genre suddenly changed, as if I suddenly watching a superheroes movie.. when the villains are getting stronger and did everything uglier, meanwhile the heroes tried to win the battle with their magic "drawing tablet". It's fine then.. I keep watching.. until the repeating plot about the monster father become nightmares again and again, and even after he died, he alive. He keep going back to the story like 3x and become the main character like WTF. In conclusion, start from the middle of the story, this "W" drama forget its main focus to emphasize how Kang Chul is a super cool character and a great shooter! and how female lead should be a better doctor through her experiences in comic life.
It’s getting foolish by making some dramatic situation like the female lead has to choose between Kang Chul or her father who can go back to the real world. Do they need to push the story to be that far so it becomes mind blowing? Oops sorry.. It doesn't work for me. Anyway.. despite of great acting from main leads.. the story will be more meaningful if it is just ended in the 1st half episodes, right after Kang Chul jump to the river, or else they have to make a much better plot.. because all I saw from 2nd half of the story is just a complete mess and forcing happy ending like in a fairy tale.
Is this just me.. or Patrick Shih's face is very identical with korean actor: Park Seo Jun!!! And sometimes when I see Greg Hsu's face.. kinda remind me with Nuest Minhyun.. especially his eyes. This drama will bring you a roller coaster ride.. it's like you watch a melodrama at the beginning, then turn to be a youth drama with romantic comedy, then suddenly it becomes suspense, and thriller drama. However in conclusion.. I can say it's a perfect mystery drama with youthful romance. Salute for the Great acting, beautiful drama ost, also incredible story lines.. all they have to do now is to give us the upcoming movie version in more cheerful and satisfying ending. P.S. You will see many handsome actors and cameo in this drama.
Whyyyyy... just whyyyy the ending is a cliffhanger.. and there is no 2nd season yet since 2017. How come?!!!! This is such an amazing drama! I finished it in 3 days... and now my brain keep questioning... What happened to the main lead? And I'm looking forward to see Xia Chi can play in the same game room with Meng Qin with some friendship challenge: Also.. it would be good if there is 2nd season... Qing Zhi will join the play as stronger woman... to fight with others to save Xia Chi and together they can destroy Die Now organization. I hope the story doesn't end up with a human battle with alien.. but since it's a fantasy.. I don't want to be very logic about the virtual world and stuff.. I just want them to have a good ending in reality world. Please... season 2 with the same actors pleaseeee... P.S.. A genius and kind guy is definitely popular like Xia Chi.. but why he always protect girls and make them kinda like him.. it's annoying to see Xu Xiang.. since I want to see Xia Chi and Qing Zhi to be happy as a couple that would even die for each other at last.
